Super awesome experience with my young son who has celiac disease. The manager and our waiter (Cody) were super helpful and answered all of our questions about gluten free options and safety measures to avoid cross contamination. They truly went above and beyond to make sure it was safe and we were comfortable in the safety procedure for ensuring it’s gluten free. They literally opened new bags of cheese- so awesome to make sure our child is safe! The pizza and breadsticks were DELICIOUS and tasted like a regular pizza- the best gluten free pizza we’ve had by far!!! The little one says it’s the best ever! Great clean environment, family friendly, delicious food, and felt completely safe in having our son eat here. Highly recommend!! We will be back! Lots of options including pizzas, sandwiches, breadsticks and cinnamon sticks that can all be made on gluten free crust. :)

We consistently order off Doordash from them and have never gotten sick. They have gf pizza, sandwiches, and cheese bread. All delicious! The baked items come in an aluminum pan they are baked in so no cross contamination.

Half Stars, because while the GF crust was delicious and I didn’t experience any irritation from that… They forgot the toppings on almost everything else. I would recommend pickup unless you mind feeling a bit Karen-ish… 🙄

They have a separate gluten free menu online, which includes cheesy bread. Pizza comes delivered with a sticker noting that it is gluten free, which is always comforting when ordering multiple pizzas that are GF/not GF. Pizza is always super greasy, but it’s not anything a good dab with a napkin can’t fix :)

I watched them make the pizza and use the same brush to butter the crust, and using the same butter spread as done on the regular pizza right before mine was made. Watched them cross contaminate it and did not risk eating it

I got there before my pickup so I was watching them make my order and they used absolutely no precautions. All the food I ordered was gluten free and the used the same oven tool, slicer, and table spot as all the non gf food. I told them I had an allergy and they remade it with much more precautions.

I ordered from here after having a bad experience at another “gluten free” pizza place. I called prior to ordering and asked about cross contamination and they answered all my questions. Upon arriving to pick up the pizza and garlic bread, the family working were wonderful and super nice! I explained what happened at the other place and they showed me their separate prep area and gluten free pizza cutter. They showed the pizza comes on its own aluminum tin and that they use separate utensils for the sauce, etc. They talked about how important gluten free is for people with celiac disease. We had a nice conversation about why we were in town and knew about the soccer tournament and asked how the girls were doing while I waited for them to cut the pizza. Everything was delicious and the customer service was top notch!

I’ve never been contaminated and I’ve eaten here numerous times. They cook the gf pizza in its own tin foil pan. I’ve tried everything on the gf menu - they use the same gf pizza crust for the sandwich and the garlic bread. Super delicious!! I usually note that I have celiac disease in the “special notes” section. Excellent!

My wife is a celiac and loves pizza. Yet it is hard to find. We found out that cottage inn had gluten free pizza. Now like most they will tell you that it is made in the same kitchen as gluten. But here is the interesting part. She has eaten here a bunch and has not gotten sick. Every time I order I state that I know the kitchen has gluten. I then say that she is a celiac and to be careful the best they can. One time the manger called me to let me know that they wiped everything down for us. I was very surprised. Depending on who is working, you may get someone who tries but not like the one manger. But I am happy to say she still hasn’t got sick. We took the chance and now we eat there a lot

I am a very sensitive celiac and over the past decade even ovoid cross contamination like a plague. I have zero issues with any of the three Lansing Cottage Inn locations and it feels so good to trust a great pizza company. Great options and love this place!

I’ve been wanting to try their gf pizza for a long time and holy moly it’s yummy! They add a lot of toppings so it’s not bare which is awesome too! The crust doesn’t have a crust lip like regular pizza, it comes in its own tin foil pan and the consistency of the crust is better than any other chain pizzas I’ve had! Next time i think I’ll try to eat it with a fork/knife because it’s more of a droopy crust than a firm cardboard crust, if that makes sense lol
The staff is super helpful every time I go. I love cottage inn because they make gluten free orders in a dedicated space with its own utensils and toppings. Always feel great and super happy after!!

CI now features expanded gf menu including pizza, their signature gourmet pizza, cheesy bread, and sandwiches. We ordered a gourmet pizza sand cheesy bread.for delivery. Delicious and did not get sick! Will definitely order again.
Yes
I’ve gotten the cheese bread and pizza here many many times and have never had an issue. Honestly it’s the best gf cheese bread I’ve ever eaten!
I got the gluten free cheesy bread and no reaction! They can’t promise no cross contamination, but they are very cautious & I’m very sensitive and didn’t get sick :)
Yes
Crust is not crispy and taste is so so
Came in its own aluminum pan. Did NOT get sick!!! This place gets to stay on my trust list.
The service here went downhill fast. Don't order from here unless you want raw dough with most of your toppings missing.
They have one of the better GF pizzas. I also really like their GF sandwiches
The owner personally assured me that they take GF prep very seriously with a separate prep area, separate utensils. He said the staff change their aprons before prepping GF food. He said they’ve never had a complaint of CC. He was very nice and also compassionate.
Yes
I thought it was a good gluten free pizza.
They have separate space where they prepare the food. The pizza was amazing, and I did not get sick :)
They use the same equipment and oven as gluten. Their website even says “if you have Celiac Disease or a gluten allergy we advise that you don’t eat here”!
No
Their pizza is the best gluten free pizza i have ever had. They also have breadsticks available.
Yes
So knowledgeable about gluten free and celiac disease. Even asking how my numbers have been. The gluten free subs are crazy good
Yes
The gluten free menu was pretty extensive and had lots of good options. The chicken was over cooked but the flavors were delish! They need a gluten free bread option for the bread basket. Why do gluten free people never get bread before the meal? Crackers or something would be a nice touch!
They have pizza, cheese bread, and sub options. SO YUMMY
Yes
My new favorite for pizza! Crust is crispy and nice choice of toppings.

I only wont give this location 5 stars because it isnt a dedicated gf facility, but of note those places dont exist in this area. I have been going here for over 5 years and not only have they been great, but honest too. They have said the only possible cc is in the oven, but they do try to do the gf stuff separate if they can so that you do have to be aware of and ask about. They have bread and pizza here and its pretty damn good too. I was also told by the owner in the past as this used to be my go to lunch place for over a year too because they were located close to my workplace...i had plwnty of chances to communicate with them....anyway he said the absolute safest thing for a celiac to order there is their subs as even in the oven those are wrapped in foil. Their subs are like a big airy pita bread that is gf rather than a sub bun and i highly recommend their italian sub as that is the best sub. Sooooo good. Having this place around is awesome and I've had a very long term relationship with them. Highly recommend.
Of note....i have tried other locations. They are NOT like this one. This review is very much only for thos location alone.

Crust is nothing special but convenient and never been sick after eating it. Spices on cheese bread are really good.

Gluten Free sandwich was really good and didn’t get sick

Well, I'd eaten here a few times and felt fine. (Gluten free pizza with cheese only topping). Then I felt sick several times and suspected glutening but wasn't sure. Then I did a Nima test on their pizza after not eating there awhile and it showed no gluten found. So I ate those, felt fine. Ate a few more over the next weeks, felt fine. Then last night I ate one and woke feeling very very ill. Swollen jaw, messed up stomach, "D", etc - this has been ALL day with no let up. I tested the leftovers with the Nima and it showed "Gluten detected." So NO, I would not recommend. Someone didn't follow the protocol and cross contaminated the pizza. It could be from the cheese, or using the same utensils or not changing gloves. Don't eat here if you have Celiac disease or can not eat gluten. Sadly.
No
The pizza tasted good and is made in a separate, one time use metal tin that it is then delivered in as an attempt to avoid cross-contamination, but I still got sick.
No
Apart from one time, every time I eat this pizza I get sick. D and other symptoms. It always looks almost burnt and is very thin and a very small/shriveled looking. It tastes just okay. I'm more concerned that I am getting cross contaminated. I'm getting a Nema tester soon and want to test one to see. I won't eat one again though. I've had them about 6 or 7 times and every time apart from the first I got these bad to very bad reactions.
No
GF pizza and sandwiches! they even have sauce selections with plain olive oil!
Yes
Quality comes and goes. I haven't gotten sick. Their gf grinders are a good option. Better than nothing.
