For the casual or preferential G-Free folks: this is probably a can-do eatery. For Celiac - No Way.
We tried this establishment based on past reviews. When speaking to management, we were told that they “definitely could not guarantee no cross contamination. “
As we were hearing this, we got a look in the kitchen. Chefs were hand-tossing pizza crusts, and you could see slow-floating airborne particulates. Additionally, kitchen staff were wearing black and all of them had lots of white on their uniforms ( my wife would say “covered with).
Draw your own conclusions, but my guess is that the floaters & uniform contaminates are probably not corn starch.

I ordered an individual GF pizza, with pepperoni, mushrooms and bell pepper and was delicious! Grimaldi's has a great vibe, excellent food and excellent service. Had no issues with cross contamination. However, they call it "gluten friendly" which kind of means there could easily be cross contamination. Maybe I got lucky, not sure, but I'll definitely be going back.

Have a good GF pizza crust. While a stone fire oven, they cooked my pizza on tray to avoid cross contamination.

My Celiac daughter loves the GF pizza here! She is very sensitive and has eaten here multiple times, so far she hasn’t had an issue! 🤞🏻 I have only been with her the first time, the other times she has gone with friends, but the waitress assured me the first time we went that they would take careful precautions to avoid cross contamination! Hoping this will be a keeper!

It’s a shame they have TWO kinds of gluten free crust but put it directly on the oven surface and say they it WILL cross contaminate. Not sure what the purpose is.

Do not order pizza if you come here. I read the reviews on the app and decided to give this pizza restaurant a try. The wait staff is very kind and after I ordered my pizza and told the waitress I had an allergy the manager came out and spoke to me she informed me that they make there pizzas right in front of all of the toppings and flour gets all over everything. So either order a salad or go somewhere else for a pizza.

I walked in and asked if they prepared and cooked their pizzas in a separate space, they told me no, that it is all done in the same area. I walked out and have not been back.

I called in before to confirm they have gluten free crust, they do. However they did make it clear they cook all the pizzas in the same oven. I appreciated the information. I have a gluten sensitivity and was able to eat very comfortably! The crust is very thin, however with the toppings and the taste of the sauce it was very delicious.

“gluten friendly” crust and cauliflower pizzas are baked in a shared oven. I got a salad instead and it was nothing special. Very disappointed about the lack of options/safety.

I’m a pizza eater and this is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! The fresh toppings are beyond delicious & my mouth waters just thinking about it. They are pricy but I believe it’s worth it. (My bf isn’t GF and he loved his pizza, too)

This restaurant is listed on The Venetians “Gluten Free Eating Guide” so I figured I’d check it out. I asked the hostess if it was safe for someone with Celiac and she said they do not recommend it for anyone with Celiac. Everything is cooked in the same over and there’s flour all around. They do take a few precautions for anyone who is gluten sensitive (cook on a different screen), but I wouldn’t chance it for anyone Celiac or seriously sensitive.

Some Amazing pizza! We had the cauliflower crust and the “gluten friendly” crust too( I think that’s what they called it). Both were sooo good! The cauliflower was the best in my opinion. The sauce was incredible and the server was very attentive.
The price was almost double what I’m used to paying for gf pizza, but it was Really good! You pay for each topping additionally.

Amazing gluten free pizza!!!! Will order again!

Only three choices for gluten friendly crust, traditional, pesto, or white pizza with garlic cream sauce. My wife had the traditional, it had a sweet tomato sauce and was tasty. I had the pesto pizza, which had good flavor. The crust was thin and cracker like. Service was excellent and it is has a brick oven and nice decor.

They ONLY have a gf crust and nothing else...not even salad dressing! All I wanted was pizza and a salad with my family but couldn’t. We ordered the white pizza on a gf crust and it was gross. They also made a point to say that they were only “gluten friendly” and would only take “precautions” to avoid cc. We will definitely not go back.

Some of the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever eaten. Incredible crust!!
Not good. Definitely not gluten friendly as they share the same equipment, not to mention they use the same cuter for all of the pizzas. I was not impressed with the food at all, it was very dry and bland. For the price they charged, I expected better pizza. Well lesson learned. I will be paying for the gluten for the next week.

Grimaldi's has three different types of gluten free pizza crust flavors and then of course you can add whatever toppings you want. I have celiac and have had no negative reaction to their pizza. And it is SOOO good!
I'm dealing with gluten belly after eating here last night. Do not eat here is you are affected by cross contamination.
Not safe for celiacs.

Gluten free pizza from the best New York pizzeria! Not all locations offer gf pizza but this location does!
Yes
The crust isn’t crispy like many GF pizzas, and I prefer it that way. It was more substantial than most GF crusts and I loved the consistency; so did non - GF family members! I am not celiacs, but highly sensitive and didn’t have any issues.
Wouldn’t recommend for celiac. Pizza has 20kg ppm of gluten.knowlegeable staff

Before bringing our Celiac son to eat, we asked two separate staff members about cross-contamination protocols in the kitchen and wood-fired stove to prevent their advertised GF pizza from being contaminated with gluten from the majority-prepped pizzas. Both staff members outlined multiple controls and sounded knowledgeable. When we arrived a week later with our son, the menu contained warnings that their GF pizzas are not considered safe for Celiacs and when we asked wait staff she confirmed that it was not safe for our son to eat but appeared expectant that we would order anyway. We thanked her for clarifying and left to eat at a Celiac safe restaurant in town, but were disappointed with the crossed signals and wasted time here.

Worst tasting GF pizza in town!
A real shame given that their regular pizza is awesome.
They do however have some great salads which moves them from 1 to 3 stars
The pizza was outstanding! Best gf I’ve had !
The gf pizza was outstanding !!!!
I appreciate that they are now offering gf pizza, and maybe it was just not a good night for them but we went once and I shall not be returning. crust was soggy, super thin and lacking in flavor.
I was so excited when I heard my local Grimaldi’s was offering GF pizza on their menu now. I was so disappointed, the pizza was not crispy but soggy and limp. It definitely should have been cooked longer. Also had a Cesar salad which had a lot of rotting pieces of lettuce...I sent it back and had it taken off my bill. Very disappointed!
I'm always skeptical when they tell me that the pizza is baked in the same oven as all the others. I was only able to eat outside, as the first floor kitchen inside overwhelmed my breathing. The bar upstairs was not as contaminated. saying this, the crust and the Cesar salad without croutons were delicious. still haven't gotten sick. Came during a time that wasn't busy.
We have been waiting forever for them to get GF crusts! Finally! My daughter loved it!
Menu has a warning that GF pizza not advised for those w/ celiac. I ordered a simple salad instead of pizza
They now offer Gluten Free crust
