Their “gluten friendly” options in their main menu are plentiful. Obviously they can’t guarantee that there won’t be cross contamination so if you are very sensitive, be careful

Knowledgeable staff and huge choice of pancake or waffle options. The GF burgers were good. Lots of GF sides to choose from to. And reasonably priced.

I was very surprised to find so many GF options. Pancakes, waffles, buns, and bread. I had the GF pancakes and you would never know they were GF. They were delicious. And a real treat since I haven’t been able to have any in such a long time.

I got the pancakes and they were very good and I did not have a reaction.

IHOP states their menu is gluten friendly not gluten free. All items are cooked on shared equipment and zero items on the menu are actually gluten free.

Happily surprised to find what they call "gluten-friendly" pancakes. And they tasted really good! I assume they don't say gluten free because they use gf batter, but don't have a designated kitchen and therefore can't guarantee that there is no cross contamination. Being as I do not have celiac, it's not an issue for me, personally. I didn't look over the menu enough to see if they carried other gf items.

The staff was very un-knowledgeable about celiac disease. They advertise they have gluten free pancakes, waffles, and gluten free buns. They also advertise all of their eggs, bacon, and sausage is gluten free. But when we asked how it was cooked our waitress said EVERYTHING HERE IS COOKED ON THE SAME GRILL. RESTAURANTS SHOULD NOT ADVERTISE THEY HAVE GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS IF THEIR IS 100% RISK OF CROSS CONTAMINATION. If you have Celiac Disease or any kind of gluten allergy, do NOT go to ihop.

Pancakes & Belgian waffles were recently added to the menu as gluten free options and both were wonderful. Menu shows that they have a gf bun now also. Great to have gf options at a major chain.

Server was aware of gluten options for pancakes, buns, and waffles. However, they do not have a dedicated facility for gluten free; the server told me they use the same pans for all the gluten and non gluten food. She was also unwilling to ask the kitchen to check whether they can have it made in a different pan. Their “gluten friendly” does not mean gluten free.

The gluten friendly batter is only gluten reduced, not gluten free. They can make eggs for a gluten free option in a clean pan.

Found IHOP on this sight. After waiting 20 minutes was seated and asked for gf options for breakfast. Was told they had a fruit cup to serve with bacon and eggs. Didn't cut it.

Hash browns are gluten-free as are the omelets if you ask for them to be made with ral or "shell" eggs and explain your allergy as I did. Good place for breakfast.

Went in with my girlfriend and was told there was no dedicated menu, which is okay as some places will have a gf next to a menu item. Asked if the waitress would know what her options could be. She stated, “you need to know what you can have and if you want something we’ll see what we can do.” Not the most comforting thing to hear. Needless to say, can’t recommend coming here for a date if you have celiac or a gluten allergy.

I got the FIT 2 egg breakfast with hash browns instead of toast and everything went good! I also had some french fries (don’t know if it’s dedicated) but all was good. No gluten free menu unfortunately.

Can order without bun and veggie sides. Menu says fries gf but waitress said not dedicated fryer! Beware.

Sorry, this place was not celiac friendly. They don't have a gluten free menu list. I also bring my own bread so that I have a more complete breakfast.

They explicitly state that they cannot guarantee anything is GF. They were uneducated about cross contamination. They had no GF menu, just handed me a confusing 30 page allergen binder. Wouldn’t trust if you’re celiac.

Huge omelettes. Make sure you ask for shelled eggs otherwise they put pancake batter in the eggs.

Very good food for breakfast lunch and dinner

They have no idea what gluten is. Was told the only thing gluten free on the menu was a salad. How hard is it to make a gluten free omelet? Will not be back.

Never gotten sick eating here. I usually get omelettes. You have to ask for real eggs (they usually make them with pancake batter to fluff them up). Never had a problem with typical breakfast items of eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit etc

The server was celiac so she can guide me very well. All the eggs- hash browns- and meat are gluten free, she said.

It depends too heavily on which server you get, and who is cooking that day.

This place is not GF. I was told they had corn cakes (GF pancakes) but they did not. I was nervous to eat. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the country omelet was ok as long as you ordered it without the pancakes and pancake mix they use in the omelet (like, who on earth puts pancake mix in an omelet!) and because our server was up to date and triple checked to make sure my meal came out first before my family’s and made sure they didn’t add anything gluten related. Overall it’s ok, but I don’t recommend going to the ones in small towns because they don’t have that many GF options.

Took a very long time to be seated, had to wave a server down after 20 minutes just to ask about gluten free options. There were none. The servers were unsure and nervous when asked about gf. Would not eat here.

Ordered ham steak and eggs over hard with no seasoning and it tested GF on my Nima Sensor

I have had a great experience with all IHOP locations. Order the omelets with shelled eggs (the omelets have pancake batter otherwise) or the breakfasts without toast, pancakes, or grits.

I’ve eaten here twice. The first time I was gluten so badly I was sick for a week. It was evident that the wait staff had not been trained. Then, stupidly, I went back and this time asked for the manager (hoping they’d know better). I asked for a side of corn tortillas and the manager sent out FLOUR. Needless to say I got incredibly sick (even not eating the tortillas or the food touching). It was a mistake and I would not recommend this to ANY celiac

Went for lunch. Enjoyed a grilled chicken salad with oranges and an orange kiwi dressing sans pecans. The waiter believed the salad was gluten free but double checked for me. They had to omit the pecans because on the packaging it mention that they “may contain wheat”.

Only thing they say is gluten free is their side dishes such as hash browns and eggs. Did not seem trust worthy though.

Celiac

IHOP is sneaky in that they put pancake batter even in their omelettes to make the eggs fluffier! Make sure you specify you are gluten free and need freshly cracked eggs before assuming your omelette is fine.

We love breakfast out, but we were disappointed that eggs at this location were not GF. When asked if the eggs could be made separately, we were told "no". We switched to fried eggs, and didn't have an issue. Staff would benefit from training in this area.

Was there and they do NOT have GF menu or options.

Food was very good, but when we asked about GF eggs, we were told none of their food was GF. My daughter asked for eggs to be made GF, and she had hash browns, and bacon without any issues.

Ihop does have an allergy list on their website. Following this, I ordered hash browns, fruit, and bacon. Our server,Dakota, was very knowledgeable and super friendly. I asked if they could Clean the grill to accommodate my wheat/gluten issues. No stomach issues so far.

Omelette and hash browns ok. ASK FOR SHELL EGGS. Otherwise eggs have pancake batter mixed in. All are cooked on separate grills according to the manager.

Fantastic staff! Everyone was incredibly friendly and willing to work with gluten sensitivities. There is also a thorough ONLINE gluten free menu if you want to look in advance.

This one was tricky. No gf menu...they had NO understanding of what I needed...in fact our waitress said no at first like they wouldn't do it. Had to give them step by step directions, but it turned out okay. Didn't get sick at all. Remember to order shelled eggs as they put pancake batter in their eggs to make them fluffy!

We are here a week ago and felt bad because our son had to sit here and watch us eat. We explained to the waitress why he wasn't eating & we would have to get him something to eat somewhere else. Next thing we know the manager, Irwin was at our table with a binder with allergy info. He offered to personally ensure the kitchen staff prepared his food safely. Our son had the 2X2X2 and the manager swapped out the 2 pancakes for hash browns. He said they use a clean separate pan for the eggs and they had a dedicated area for meats which all were GF. The omelette ARE NOT safe because IHOP uses pancake batter in the eggs to make the omelette fluffier. Our son had 2 sausage links, scrambled eggs and hash browns. Didn't get sick. 2nd experience was ok...the greeter spoke almost no English and when we asked for a gf or allergy menu she started to give our 17y/o a kids coloring page! waitress was not familiar but did listen. Was a bit nervous but he didn't get sick. Irwin is awesome so we may call ahead to see if he's on duty when we return!
