Although they have a gluten free menu, they have a statement on the top that states they do not have a dedicated gluten free prep area in the kitchen and can't guarantee that cross contamination will not occur.

2015 they gave me a regular bun when I ordered gluten free for my burger and I was sicker than I have ever been. I have never ever returned.

Totally worth it for the GF carrot cake alone. The burgers are good and it’s nice to be able to have one on a GF bun.

Chicken Picatta was delicious. I got gluten free rolls with dipping sauce at the beginning. I haven’t been here in year due to limited selections. They’ve increased their gf menu option and I’ll definitely be back.

They have GF rolls for the oil dip and it was so good. They have a separate gluten free menu with a good amount of options plus dessert! The GF chicken piccata was delicious.

A few GF options and probably safe, but not the best food, and some of it is kinda weird. For example I ordered the chicken parm and the pasta was like curly egg noodles with marinara, not regular spaghetti or penne or something like that.

I ordered Mustard Crusted Chicken off of the gluten free menu and a gluten free beer. They brought my gluten free meal out first before any others.
My second time the waitress immediately asked if there were any allergies and brought me out gluten free bread that was delicious. I had sirloin tips and they were so good! I didn’t get sick after either visit. The food is great.

Updating my review. Went here again after 3 years of not being there. Removed a TON of items from their gluten free menu. Had very limited options. What I had was good and I still got gluten free bread, but was disappointed with how limiting it was.

I am gluten sensitive and allergic to a list of other foods. This place was amazing!! The list of options felt endless. I had the spaghetti squash bolognese. Delicious! The server offered me gluten free dinner rolls! I haven’t been able to enjoy restaurant rolls in forever. Wonderful experience. Will go back, for sure!

I’ve eaten at other locations and have found the menu clearly marked. Because of the pandemic we ordered take out. I called rather than use the app to make sure the order went in correctly. Three burgers: one beef, one beef and pepper Jack cheese. The third burger was the black bean veggie burger on a gluten free bun with a side salad. The packages were not marked, and the cheese was on the veggie burger, and the side salad for the gluten free burger had croutons on it (were they gf? I wasn’t going to find out they were not).

Daughter is celiac. Impressed with the “Gluten Sensitive” menu. Ahi appetizer served on cucumbers. Gf kids pasta and salad. Even started with gluten free bread and dipping sauce. Staff answered all our questions and we felt that our daughter was safe.

As soon as I mentioned a gluten allergy, I was provided a “gluten sensitive” menu and served gluten free rolls! I was wary of the *sensitive* phrasing, but the waitstaff seemed to take celiac very seriously and mentioned a dedicated preparation space. The chicken parm was delicious.

I’ve eaten here many times without any problems. Servers are knowledgeable and the gluten free selection is so large, I’m not limited to a salad!! Lots of pasta dishes, the GF chicken parm is my favorite and they serve GF bread with separate oil for dipping.

Twice now, I’ve been served gluten at this location. First, a burger with a gluten roll (make sure your roll has small pieces of onion, which is the GF version) and second I suspect was the pasta in the pasta al for no. Either the pasta wasn’t GF or it was cooked in the standard pasta water. They have GF options but I think they can be sloppy on the follow through. Days of suffering result!

The food here was really good. I told the waitress I had a gluten allergy and she said the manager would bring out all my food and ensure there was no cross contamination. Started with amazing gluten free rolls! Then had the mustard crusted chicken. Gluten free carrot cake for dessert was the best carrot cake I’ve ever had, let alone gluten free. Didn’t get sick and felt very safe eating everything. They also have gluten free beer (Glutenberg). Be sure to ask for a gluten free menu.

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY/TAKE AWAY!! I had a craving so I ordered online and picked items marked gluten sensitive and made a note. The food tasted good but I was sick about 45 mins later with a gluten reaction.

Staff is very knowledgeable, they even have a gf roll to bring out when everyone else gets the pre-meal bread! A fair amount of options, not the entire menu but you definitely have choices to make. We've been a handful of times and have always enjoyed the food.

Joes has a fair amount of GF options on the menu. If they know you have an allergy or are celiac, they will offer a gluten free roll with your own oil and cheese. It’s not as great as the focaccia, but at least you don’t get left out. The gf options used to get lumped into a separate “healthy” menu for the low carb and vegetarian crowd. Makes me feel like they think gluten free is a lifestyle choice. Last visit, items were marked on the main menu, but everything is different during the pandemic. No dedicated fryer and I don’t think they offer gf pizza. The real pizza is made in a separate area, so lower risk of cross contamination with the main kitchen. Before the rona, the kids could sit at the pizza bar and the cook would give them dough to knead. They loved that.
Only 3 stars because the last few times I’ve been underwhelmed. Maybe covid affected the recent visit, but menu was more limited, both for me (celiac) and the kids (gluten eaters). No gf roll offered. We all felt like the meal was meh. Not bad, just nothing special. It’s nice to know there are things I can eat here if the group chooses it, but I think I’ll pass on Joes for a while.
This location has outdoor seating in the back, which is nice when the weather is good.

Been there 3x, got sick all 3x at this location. Not worth the risk.
Update: I’ve been glutened at least twice. I’m sad to say I can no long trust this place.
I ordered take out, and there were so many options! The food was delicious. I’m not sure if the bread roll I got was GF so I didn’t chance it, but it looked good!
Edit: came back to eat, the roll was amazing!! Such good dip too.

Safe for celiac, very knowledgeable staff! Wish they could offer French fries!
Menu clearly marked, server knowledgeable, I ate a veggie based ragout which was served with very soft gluten free rolls. No reaction. Would recommend!
Extremely disappointed in NYAJ. Used to be my favorite restaurant as I am celiac and have to eat gluten free. Almost all appetizers have been eliminated and only tuna wontons now. The chicken quesadilla used to be fantastic.
Had an awful experience in Warwick. Your prices are outrageous now for the quality of food. I ordered gf haddock and the entire meal was terrible. The fish came out smelling like fish and the gf crumbs were not even baked on. The mashed potatoes were like glue and the broccoli well undercooked. My husband and I paid $60 for two meals that we could have gotten at a Chili’s for much less. What has happened? I used to love NYAJ and went at least twice a month. I do appreciate eating gluten free, but the quality of the food ...
