I was very clear I was gluten free, they brought me a gf menu… so I had high hopes.

There aren’t many choices and the choices for entres are basically dry meat, dry fish. No sauces are added.

I ordered a salad, stated again gluten free, salmon and a baked potato.

Salad came with croutons, fish flavorless and dry, baked potato was good at least so I didn’t starve.

The fryer is shared, so all the appetizers have gluten.

Great choices, awesome GF bread before dinner. I had a steak with a baked potato and salad. They had many options and when I told them my allergy they went above and beyond to explain all the options. Our waitress was amazing and very knowledgeable. We will be back!

I had an enjoyable dinner last night at Saltgrass Steakhouse. They have a separate gluten “sensitive” menu. Personally, I don’t care for that term as it might mean one of two things. 1) they can’t guarantee that there is no cross contact or 2) they are using this statement as a “cover your a**” comment. So, eat at your own risk. I ordered a ribeye with broccoli and a house salad (minus the croutons). The food was delicious. The service was great. And I’d go back again.

We will definitely return to this location! As soon as I asked about their gluten free bread our waiter proved his knowledge about my needs. He even asked multiple times if anyone else at our table needed accommodations. I am NCGS so I can typically handle some degree of cross contamination which happens in a restaurant setting. I am only giving the rating I gave because it is a chain and not dedicated gluten free.

Great find in downtown Houston, GF menu, knowledgable and friendly staff!! We had even gotten there before opening hours and the manager very nicely opened his doors early and served us!

After coming here since 2013 and having good experiences, came here last week and the waitress seemed to be in top of allergens, etc. I was brought out my salad with croutons on it so I called her over and explained the cross contamination would make me super sick a dnibwould need a whole new salad. Well in about five minutes my “new” salad was back and I should have known better but she said “trust me” so I did. Well I was so sick for two days!! I won’t be going back!

Server was very informative & helpful! She suggested gf roll; assured us it would be toasted in its own bag & brought us bag to show us ! They carry original A1 steak sauce which helps with the steak, AND she wrote celiac on the ticket I took a Me+My pill just in case! Dinner was great, I wasn’t worried, AND I didn’t get sick!! We have two celiac members in our family and this was an amazing, delicious experience. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful regarding the gluten free options. I had a great experience here. Staff was very knowledgeable and made me aware of everything. They have a huge GF menu, and they even have delicious gluten free bread, but make sure to ask for it when you first sit down because it does take a little bit for them to make. I had bread, shrimp cocktail, steak, loaded mashed potatoes and a salad. I will definitely return to this restaurant.

Unfortunately although this restaurant has good reviews, I had an unpleasant experience. I have Celiac and didn’t get sick but the food was awful and they made my burger incorrectly. They forgot the toppings on the burger. The broccoli had absolutely nothing on it. It reminded me of similar experiences at restaurants where they are uncertain about gluten so you end up with plain food with nothing on it. Extremely disappointing.

Wonderful place. I asked for a gluten free menu and received one. They claimed to have gluten free bread and we waited a while for a toasted Udi’s bun, but at least they tried. I had a burger with anoyher Udi’s bun and it was delicious. Would not recommend the fries. Steak was great.

If you have celiac, or have a medical need to avoid gluten DO NOT EAT HERE!!! After explaining to my waiter that I have celiac disease and need my food to be gluten free he made a comment essentially saying how he didn't believe that someone could require a gluten free diet. I reiterated that it was medically necessary and he acted as if he was just joking about the previous comment. Long story short, I got incredibly sick eating here. The staff does not take gluten free seriously.

I had some my research beforehand and knew to ask for the gluten free menu (actually referred to as 'gluten sensitive'). There was a decent selection of options, although less for me as I am also dairy intolerant. I was offered gluten free bread so I didn't feel left out when they brought the usual beer bread to the table, and even without butter it was surprisingly good. I ordered a steak which was perfect and everything went very smoothly. I was not asked any questions by the server but personally I was ok with that - it's the first meal out in months where I haven't felt like a nuisance to be honest. Will definitely return! My only slight negative is there are no prices on the GF menu.

By far the best experience I’ve had with ordering gluten free food. They have a separate gluten free menu and a dedicated kitchen space. The staff is knowledgeable and if they don’t know they’ll ask someone who does. Didn’t get sick and left very full and happy.

Despite they don't have a lot of choice for coeliacs, I have had a delicious steak. The staff really knows about gluten and coeliacs disease. They have a gluten-sensitive menu, although most items on here still have a fairly high risk of cross contamination. The manager advised me a steak with mashed potatoes and boiled broccoli, with these items they can reduce the risk of cross contamination to a absolute minimum. The steak was delicious and I didn't get any symptoms afterwards
