Staff are very knowledgeable and will work with you. There are a lot of options like pancakes and French toast as well. The only complaint I have is that the menu doesn’t have labels besides the few notes by some things. Otherwise, it is a very good place
This place is a must for celiacs in San Diego! I had 2 breakfasts here: pineapple upside down pancakes(2 giant pancakes, super filling!), and French toast neat (more basic but totally awesome!) I felt very confident that my needs were understood, and it was all fantastic!
I got so sick 30 minutes after eating here. I was also in public. The waitress had checked twice on my choice. I contacted the Corporate Headquarters in Denver and received a call in which I was informed that the kitchen was not gluten free and cross-contamination happens. They were also “unaware” they were on a Gluten Free app and would get it removed.
Menu did not have any gluten free labeling but when I asked the waitress about gluten free options she was very knowledgeable about what was gluten free, which includes all pancakes, which she provided a free complimentary pancake to try. Never got sick.
One of my favorite places in the world! I used to live in California and while I was there I didn’t like pancakes in general which is mostly what the have there, but I can say that they have amazing hot chocolate and bacon. When we went back to visit I was able to get which OMG French toast which was AMAZING!!! Anyway snooze is the best, always has been always will be😊
This place was amazing and the staff was knowledgeable about Celiac issues! It’s been so long since I’ve been able to eat delicious pancakes... I almost cried they were so good! The pancakes were huge and the scrambled eggs side dish was also wonderful. I’ll definitely be back.
We had been to the Lone Tree location once before. I loved the selection. Ordered GF sweet potato pancakes. Within a short time of finishing breakfast I became very sick... I had been glutened. I was sick all that day. I called Snooze the next morning - just to let them know what happened. I wasn’t looking to get anything out of it. Very disappointed with their lack of response. Hostess said she would have a manager call me. No apology, no concern. Never got a call. This was back in early December. I had written a Google review right away but forgot to post here. I will never go back.
Great fun flavored pancakes!!! Just like anyplace that also serves wheat food, especially pancakes - it’s worth double checking your order as restaurants are CRAZY busy- especially great places like this one! I’ve been there twice with my son who is also celiac - my order was correct and I didn’t get sick. My son loves this place too!!
Snooze was a disappointment. I was super excited to have brunch as I saw gluten free pancakes and French toast on the menu. My grandfather and I ordered the gluten free pancake of the day. As the waitress is bringing the food to our table, she informs us that the pancake of the day is in fact not gluten free. I’m glad that she caught the mistake before we took a bite as it could have been disastrous. So while the rest of my family ate their pancakes (non-Celiac Disease), my grandfather and I had to wait for new pancakes. We ended up getting blueberry & chocolate-chip. By the time it came out, the rest of my family was done eating though. I wish the waitress knew from the gecko instead of hyping me and my grandfather up and making us wait for a new order. Snooze would greatly benefit by putting labels on their menu instead of relying on the wait staff to tell customers what is and is not gluten free.
My new favorite breakfast place! I got their special pancake of the day which was strawberry shortcake and it was delicious! They also have gluten free tortillas and can make anything on their menu gluten free. I didn’t get sick after eating here either time. I would highly recommend!
The food was amazing! I got three different kinds of pancakes and all where made with GF batter. All very good and I would highly recommend going. The wait was long but the staff was very friendly. Also did not get sick after wards but I don’t think there is a set aside kitchen area for those are very sensitive
Finally a breakfast option where I don’t have to get an omelet. The pancakes are amazing and they can do their fun flavors with them. I haven’t had the French toast but it is on my list. I’m celiac and haven’t had any issues here.
We had been there once before and it was great. We went there 2 weeks ago, and I will never go back... either the cook or the serve mixed up my order. I have celiac disease. My GF sweet potato pancakes were NOT GF and I was sick all day. The effect was almost immediate so I know it wasn’t anything else I had eaten. I called the next day - just to let them know. I didn’t want anything in return. The hostess said that the manager would call me back. Crickets. Epic fail for I Place I had really enjoyed.
Amazing brunch, amazing staff. The wait can be long, but it’s totally worth it. Our waitress asked if anyone had any allergies before we even ordered and I told her I was celiac, to which she said “absolutely no problem” and then proceeded to bring us out the most amazing celiac safe pancake i have ever had (for free mind you) while we waited for our food. It had a gluten free labeled pick in it which is always reassuring so they don’t get mixed up with the regular ones. It had a mind blowing homemade peppermint marshmallow on top, she asked for it without gingerbread since she knew i couldnt have gluten and it came with a delicious chocolate sauce. Totally tasted like dessert but everyone i was with loved it. I ordered the hashbrowns with poblanos, spinach and avocado and a side of fruit with a pineapple mimosa. Everything was delicious, the 3 non-celiacs i was with all loved their food and I didn’t feel sick at all afterwords. My new favorite breakfast place, will be coming back a lot.
Very well done. The wait staff really, helped me with my crazy allergies.
Great place! Everything can be made GF but breakfast burrito and pot pie. Pancakes were really good!
Amazing!!!! The o my issue is how to not eat everything on the menu! Complete peace and safety to eat as a celiac but then to have such amazing food. Wow! Had the eggs Benedict and the pi able pancake on the side. Tempted to move to San Diego just so I can eat here more. And shockingly the green tea cucumber monitored so good!
The food was good. The line was long. I didn't get sick, so that's good. But they used a lot of language like 'gluten friendly', that made me too nervous to really enjoy my meal, and they didn't have a labeled gluten free menu which makes me nervous.
Ate breakfasts here while visiting Austin. Menu doesn’t specifically list GF options but wait staff was able to accommodate. I kept it simple and based off previous reviews I just ordered the eggs, chicken sausage, and hash browns. I elected not to get the toast because it goes through the same toaster.
It was amazing. Being gluten free for over 3 years I was used to the disappointment of gluten free pancakes at restaurants. That has all changed. I took one bite and was thinking these were the real deal gluten type pancakes, but they were not. I had my wife try them as well, she thought they were some of the best she has ever had and she isn't a gluten free eater. The staff was excellent and only 1 item on the menu could not be made GF. My wife had a potato hashbrown dish with eggs on top that was equally delicious.
There is no separate GF menu but they can pretty much make anything GF, including their pancakes, French toast, sandwiches, etc. my son had the grilled cheese and he said it was pretty good. Definitely will come back. Staff is friendly. Decor is fun and fresh.
We had a great experience at Snooze! We sat at the bar and our server was friendly and knowledgeable about gluten allergies and explained the whole menu and it’s options. I felt so comfortable and welcome as someone with celiac. The food was delicious - best breakfast / brunch I’ve had in a really long time! I would definitely go back. I wish Snooze would open up a location in New York!
I came here for a business meeting, so I would have preferred to have gf options marked on the menu or to have more gf info on their website, so I didn't have to ask as many questions in front of all my colleagues. But, the server was able to answer my questions. I got hash browns, bacon, and fruit and my stomach was fine afterwards.
Absolutely fabulous! Our server was Gabriel and was friendly, knowledgeable and made our visit great! Almost everything on the menu can be made gf and prepared in a separate area. The “OMG French Toast” definitely lived up to its name! My friend had the breakfast pit pie ( NOT gf) but said it was delicious. Perfect place for casual brunch with a very diverse menu that meets every special dietary need. (Vegan and vegetarian friendly).
They use a separate toaster for all gluten free breads. Almost the entire menu can be made gluten free. Celiac friendly when a gluten free order goes back the entire area is cleaned down, utensils changed, hands washed and gloves changed. Gluten free pancakes are labeled. King Arthur flour is used for gluten free pancakes so it rises just like a regular one. All Benedict’s can be made gluten free and most of the house favorites can be made gluten free as well (I.e. sandwiches, breakfast tacos, classic egg dishes). Snooze has a very large 86 list which means all menu items are carefully vetted. Long wait, but worth it.
Come here every year when visiting Denver. I always get some sort of Eggs Benedict (they serve on gf toasted bread, not a gf English muffin) and the blueberry pancake with the lemon filling. I can’t eat more than half of it but it is awesomely good! Never been glutenized! BTW I found ur today you can get just 1 egg and a single pancake order. 😀
Great food can make almost anything on the menu gluten free and even have a dedicated grill for it! The server said they won’t even put y toast in the same toaster. I got the egg and sweet potato meal but next time I’m going to try some pancakes or French toast!
I tried this restaurant a couple weeks ago for the 1st time. It was small, but very well lit, energetic and had some current upbeat music playing. It definitely had a feel like no other restaurant I've ever been to. With that being said, I was a little disappointed with portion sizes and prices. Which is why I had to give it 4 stars instead of 5. To explain, I called ahead to be sure they had gluten free breakfast items such as pancakes and/or waffles. They did. Then I asked if they were small, like 3-4", the size of dinner plates or somewhere between? The woman on the phone said about the size of plates. I ordered the flight of GF pancakes which were delicious. Too bad they were only 4-5" in diameter, not the 8-10" I was expecting. After the 3 small pancakes, a side of eggs & bacon, and Mimosa, I was out of there about $30 lighter. And felt like I could easily eat another 3 pancakes. :-(
