AmyLu Yes most restaurants, especially in the US, probably won't have a gf menu. If you're lucky, they will mark gf items and will have knowledgeable servers/kitchen to help keep you safe, but it is hard sometimes, especially starting out. That's why this app is such a great resource to find places that are good with gf, or should be avoided. There are some gf safe spot restaurants that are dedicated and certified gf, if you happen to be near one.

sarah33952 Some restaurants only have a gf menu in person rather than online, I like to call and ask the host if they have one

Thomas77 Find me gluten free app. Will help, I use it when I travel across the country. Found many restaurants always call before you go to the restaurant talk to the manager.

wabillin Bibibop for restaurant and Aspasia or No Label at the Table for more bakery type foods are the best dedicated gluten free places. Anywhere with gluten products on the menu is a risk and most have no idea what cross contamination means even when they say they are "safe"

Timotheus 1823 in Franklin is a dedicated gluten free facility. Many restaurants have allergies information on their websites that will tell you what contains wheat. You’ll just want to start doing research before you go.
