Are Doritos nacho cheese gluten free? Are they safe for celiac patients?

stacy174862 Per the Dorito’s site “some are and some aren’t” and they instruct you to go investigate the ingredient labels yourself. This tells me cross contamination may also be a problem. I’d steer clear. Late July Brand has lots of chips, including flavored! (i love the lime ones!), and they have gluten free labels on their packaging. Give those a try instead.

Ellyse I’m in Canada, our Doritos are labelled gluten free. If you aren’t sure reading the ingredients, Paqui is another brand that is Sooo good! 2 replies

john42972 Per the Gluten Free Watch Dog, a bag of nacho cheese Doritos was tested and no gluten was detected. “The sample tested below the lower limit of quantification for the assay used of 5 parts per million of gluten.” So I would say they are gluten free.

john42972 Gluten Free Watchdog also tested Cool Ranch with the same result. No gluten detected.
