Asymptomatic Celiac

Hello! I will be traveling with my husband within the next few weeks to Tatabanya for a work trip. I’ve never traveled outside of the United States so am nervous about trying to eat gluten free somewhere so unfamiliar. Hoping someone can offer suggestions either in or close to Tatabanya. Thank you!

praga5656 You could consider buying a GF translation card. It is a plastic card with the basic information about a GF diet in a foreign language. You can find them at Amazon. Check for local celiac associations. In general they have list of safe restaurants, hotels, etc. And also information about safe food for celiacs. Pack some GF snacks to have with you.

julcsi_dance I live in Hungary, and I think there will be at least one gluten free restaurant. By the way, u can get gluten free stuff in every shop, at least a package of cookies😊

simona42727 Hi, there’s few gf restaurants in Tatabanya or Tata (which is just few km away). You can’t try Tommaso pizza&pasta, Siam Thai food, Malom es Kacsa, Platan bistro, or also McDonalds has 4-5 GF burgers you can eat. Also you can buy plenty of food in Tesco, there is gf aisle.
