Very rude staff. Randomly decide not to offer carry out if they are busy. Restaurant very loud. Will not guarantee cross contamination and got impression that would rather not serve you. Don’t have celiac so rolled the dice. The pizza was very good but not worth putting up with rudeness

I can’t give any stars. I was calling every restaurant in town to find somewhere safe for my 4 year old to eat. I spoke with a nice woman on the phone who told me they do have gluten free options. They have gluten free pasta. So I asked about the prep space. Her tone changed. She said they do not have a separate prep space and that “this is an Italian kitchen, there is lots flour in the air.” I then asked if the staff would be willing to wash their hands and use clean tools when they were handling my daughter’s order. I wish I was exaggerating…. She let out a deep, annoyed sigh and said, “no. we are short staffed and very busy and if that’s a problem then you should not eat here.” Her tone just changed from kind to annoyed and rude. It’s hard enough being a celiac parent and trying to protect your kids. I was very polite. I know that what I’m asking is
above and beyond. It’s people like this that make being an allergy parent even harder.
This restaurant is NOT celiac safe and cross contamination is prevalent. Use caution

Gluten free pizza is the best in town! Pasta and gf buns available. Staff has always taken every precaution to ensure there is no cross contamination. One of our go to restaurants in Florence.

I’m not exactly sure how I was glutened here but I definitely was. I had the gluten free pasta with vegetables. Not safe for celiacs!
No
The waitstaff were amazing about understanding Celiac. However, the kitchen staff were not. My plate had about a quarter teaspoon of the Alfredo sauce (contains wheat) that had been hidden under a piled-up section of gf penne. By the time discovered this it was already too late. So much for hiking today.
