I'd heard amazing things about Chipotle's gluten free/celiac awareness and was super excited to finally check it out. I called ahead and the manager assured me that if I informed the workers, they'd change gloves for me. The main glitch was that one of the workers didn't speak English well and obviously didn't know about the GF precautions. Another worker did my whole meal, though, and I greatly enjoyed my burrito bowl. As long as you are confident and determined when guaranteeing your dietary safety, Chipotle is a great celiac option.
I've eaten here a few times and they are really nice. I always ask the server to change their gloves before starting and then the same person will continue on down the line with my food to keep it safe. The only thing in the place that has gluten are the tortilla shells so contamination is pretty low. Love Chipotle!
The server was not very informative and just ended up bringing out the whole book of allergy concerns ... Yeah! She didn't really know about celiac :/ the food was not the best Mexican I've ever had but it was pretty good! Not happy with service
The only item containing wheat or glutens currently on the menu are the tortillas. If you go with a burrito bowl, everything else on the menu is safe. I eat here regularly. The food is delicious and fresh. The staff change gloves for every meal they create.
Not careful at all about cross contamination. I have stopped eating here.
Love Chipotle and have eaten at multiple locations without issue. Agree with other review to stay away from the cheese but sour cream has never been a problem. Yum!
The counter servers do not seem to be educated on their company's policy of being happy to change gloves to prevent cross-contamination from the flour tortillas. They begrudgingly did and then muttered amongst themselves and rolled their eyes at me as I completed my order. I love Chipotle, but perhaps a bit more training is in order at this location. Thankfully I did not get sick, but I am used to the much friendlier service at every other location.
I have nothing but exceptional comments about this Chipoltle! When we go in they know us and our order already (we go so often). They go above and beyond to provide uncontaminated meals for my two kids- cooking them fresh steak/chicken, mixing fresh rice, and taking all the toppings out of new containers they pull from the back - so nothing has touched it! They understand "gluten free" and that's all you need to say when you walk in.
This restaurant was so professional! I told them that I had Celiac disease and I asked if they could change their gloves. They were so cool! Not only did they change their gloves, but they said "no gluten coming down the line"! They also changed out the foil on the tortilla steamer so my corn tortillas didn't get cross contaminated! They were SO FRIENDLY AND ACCOMODATING! The best part was, I didn't feel like I was putting them out and there was a line behind me. They were fast and organized. Great job!!!
Only one gluten item- the flour tortilla. Other than that EVERYTHING is gf! YAYYY! No cross contamination here, but I'd be cautious if you get the soft corn tortilla bc it's cooked in the same oven ☺️
