They have many GF choices and they executed well. The kitchen staff avoided CC and the food was fast, tasty, generous and if very good quality. I had the chips & queso, side salad (no croutons, separate prep), ribeye steak and baked potato. No problems at all. The only negative is that not all front staff is trained. The hostess told me they did not have a GF menu, but the bartender showed it to me, suggested ideas, and made the kitchen had correct instructions. I'd go back there.
Ok if you want a step up from from frozen TV dinners.
The staff is really helpful with gluten free foods. The manager stopped by to tell me that the fryer is also used to fry the shellfish. (I have a shellfish allergy as well). The staff has been trained very well with people who are Celiac. This place is awesome. (;
This restaurant has a glutenfree menu that is outdated and incorrect . There are items on the GF menu that are no longer offered and nachos are listed as GF but they are not fried in a dedicated fryer . i ordered a meal from the GF menu and was given the wrong meal. (one the was not on the GF menu) i am not confident that the restaurant is careful with cross-contamination . if you have celiac disease, i would not eat at this restaurant .
I give this particular Applebee's 1 start because when I was being seated and asked for a gluten free menu my waiter told me about my weight watchers options? A waitress them brought me a paper copy of the menu choices which looked like she found out under a dumpster, it was disgusting. Although the ordering was a pain my food choice tasted ok.
Their GF menu is just an allergy chart. It's hard (confusing) to order. I'm not real impressed. I've been twice and haven't been sick. But the worry over what to order takes the fun out of the experience. I'd much prefer a GF menu that outlines what I can eat in a straightforward fashion. That removes the guesswork about ingredients on individual dishes.
We went here knowing that Applebees in general offers a pretty good and tasty gluten free menu. I have Celiac disease and am highly sensitive to anything with gluten, no matter how tiny an amount. After my husband and I were seated, our waiter came over. He was one of those who would start talking to you from twenty feet away, so you're completely unaware he's even trying to get your order. Once we figured out he was talking to us, it was hard to keep his attention, but we still made sure to mention (numerous times) about my food issue and he acknowledged. I figured my food would be fine. I was wrong. Normally I can finish off my meal there, I don't do appetizers or desert and so I feel satisfied, but not full after. After just a few bites, my stomach doubled in size and I felt full...something that never happens unless it's bad food. I spent the rest of the day asking my poor husband to stop at a number of restrooms throughout our travels home...oh and having to literally run through the mini golf course in a hurry is not fun with an injured knee!! (Thank you folks for letting me cut off your games!) Though I don't like putting down a restaurant, I just don't want others to suffer. Applebees overall is really good, this one in Manchester has potential, but I think our waiters inattentiveness may have played a huge part. I am also emailing the manager there so as to avoid any issues for others who attend. I plan on sticking to the Applebees in Concord as I have had multiple successful plates there and the staff are amazing.
Previously: 4 stars: Good food, conscientious staff willing to ask questions. Most recently, received wrong food, to have it rudely 'adjusted' by removing glutinous bun with crumbs still visible. Not safe for celiac.
Waitstaff was not extremely knowledgable in gf, but very friendly and willing to accommodate. Apologized because the side normally served with my chosen meal is not gf and cheerfully substituted with one I could have. Gf menu/allergen list had several options. (List is available online, but they will print one off for you so you can be sure it's the most recent one). Kitchen staff and managers are very careful when any allergy order comes in. Food was good as always.
Food was great and staff was very helpful. Manager came to the table after I asked our server for the GF menu. Explained everything and was very courteous. We were even able to take part in the 2 for $20 menu. I got the Fiesta Lime Chicken which was awesome! And we got the Queso Blanco appetizer which was awesome! Will definitely go back!
I asked if they had a gluten free menu and they handed me a binder of foods that are safe for pretty much every food allergy under the sun. I was astonished by how many choices I had! It was my favorite restaurant before realizing I had gluten issues and is still my favorite.
Applebee's has a very detailed gluten-free allergen menu with lots of options. I love the grilled shrimp and spinach salad!
Queso Blanco appetizer and Fiesta Chopped Chicken Salad were pretty yummy and both on the GF menu!

All I had to do was ask for a gluten free menu, and they took the initiative. The manager and owner talked to me about my needs and personally watched my plate to make sure it was safe for me. They informed my waiter before he even came to our table. These guys were amazing with their service and accomodations.
