Stopped in real quick while visiting since husband wanted to try some oysters. We ended up eating at the bar area in back and had a great server. He was very honest about the risk of cross contamination and walked me through the menu. He spoke with the kitchen and they heated up corn tortillas on a clean pan for me to go with the guacamole since their chips are fried in a shared fryer. Had a good appetizer and appreciated him speaking with the kitchen directly about my celiac. Food ticket/receipt even had a celiac flag on it which is always nice to see. I did not get glutened and am sensitive to cross contamination. While I had a good experience, if you have celiac you always run a risk of being glutened if you are eating at a non dedicated facility so always proceed with caution.

Snug place with great food, unless you have a gluten issue. Then there are few GF choices, and it’s too expensive to have so few choices and so little space to eat them. But your company that doesn’t have an issue with wheat will love and rave about the place. We’ve eaten here and been glutened, it’s too bad cause it’s a wonderful place

Waiter wasn't knowledge about celiac or gluten free. They had to ask the kitchen several times even after I explained. Not good with other allergies either. In the end the waiter just offered a salad with olive oil, and they advised that was about all they could do. Oysters were good but I couldn't have any of the sauces.

Had supper here last night... We shared oysters and I got the fish tacos, my husband (not gluten free) got a shrimp po boy. The food was excellent. Staff was knowledgeable about gluten free options. Cocktail sauce is indeed gluten free... I checked. We travel Charo frequently and will make the a regular stop going forward....
Very knowledgeable about gluten free options but they already have a fairly small menu and then remove gluten stuff, not a ton of options left. Shared fryer and no gf buns/bread but they grilled corn tortillas instead of frying for me and put my tuna over a yummy salad instead of a bun.

Nice spot with lots of fresh seafood. Their cocktail sauce was not GF which was a bummer but still enjoyed a platter of seafood. Also got the ceviche and the chef was kind enough to grill the corn tortillas versus adding to a fryer (no dedicated GF fryer). Overall a great experience.
I had the ahi poke with no chips and then told the staff I was Gluten to order my main. It was no issue and he walked me through the whole menu what they could substitute for me. Ordered grilled shrimp tacos on corn tortillas - delicious!
Yes
Gluten friendly, but not worth the wait. Just as good other choices for raw bars.

The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable about what was safe to eat. I had oysters, shrimp, and a tuna burger on a salad and it was all wonderful! The best tuna burger I’ve ever had. We ate here twice during our short stay. The wait is worth it!
Celiac friendly! The guys are awesome with our allergy.
OK, so you have to be careful, and remind them about the soy sauce having gluten in the carnitas. But the raw bar is excellent, they use homemade corn tortillas in the tacos, and, while the carnitas aren't like I get near the border, they are very tasty.
