My wife has celiac and they were great to talk about safety protocols but also knew enough to know that there is always a risk of cross contamination. She ended up getting the fillet and it was great and no signs of getting glutened. Really great experience!

Must go. Amazing food. Very knowledgeable about celiac and very cautious. My server had celiac herself. I got the grilled veggie sandwich on a gf bun and it was incredible. The mashed potatoes were also awesome. I was so full from overeating my incredible meal, but then found out they had gf key lime pie! Couldn’t say no. My husband got the gf shrimp and grits and he says it was also amazing. Couldn’t recommend more!

Avoid like the plague if you have any other allergies besides gluten! I spoke to a manager on Sunday, she assured us that we would be good to go for Taco Tuesday. We come to eat for Taco Tuesdaya and the manager that day said there was not one thing on the TT lost that would be OK for gluten and soy allergies. Had to go across town to find somewhere else to eat.

Food was wonderful and so was service. Our server made sure she checked on everything I ordered was gluten free. Got the rainbow trout blackened. Really good.

I’ve been to 1885 twice. Yesterday’s experience was incredible. I told my server that about my dietary restrictions (I have celiac) and she immediately told me she’d mark my ticket and ensure no cross-contamination occurred. She instructed me what items she’d recommend for safe eating. I ordered a cocktail (Strawberry Smash) and she even told me the brand of rum so I could be sure it was safe. I was blown away and felt completely confident and safe eating here.

This was an amazing experience! I have celiac and am very sensitive to gluten. Leslie, at the Ooltewah location of 1885 Grill, was amazing! She double checked with the kitchen to make sure everything I was getting was gluten-free as well as making sure they cleaned the grill in between meals. This was the most amazing experience I have had thus far since I have had Celiac. And the gluten free buns are SO good!! Would highly recommend this restaurant!!

Visited here twice while we were in town. Had a great experience both times. Food was great and I felt good!

Eating out has always been something I loved to do. It’s been a real challenge since I’ve been forced to eat gluten free. This weekend we’ve already eaten at 2 restaurants and I haven’t had to use my @nimasensor YET! It’s amazing and I forgot how much I love food. On the menu tonight was a Cuban and blueberry mojito! Our server Paige was amazing! And the food was awesome! We would absolutely recommend it!

The staff and management was extremely helpful and so very kind with helping us navigate their menu. The food was phenomenal and we were very pleased with the choices.

The hostess went above and beyond helping us. She went through each item on the menu with us. We thought the spinach salad was very tasty. My husband ordered a hamburger on gluten free bread and loved it.

Excellent food and service! Gluten free buns are delicious. Staff is very knowledgeable about cross contamination.
