Amazing place!!! Truly. I’m sad that there are negative reviews of this place. The owner’s son has celiac and they have separate kitchens. The gf kitchen is in the back and it’s only for gluten free food. The front space is for gluten. The owner’s son lived in New York so for people who eat gluten, the bagels are the real deal. The gluten free option is not a bagel, but a great piece of bread that’s bagel-like. It still hit the spot! The owner was up front about that before I even ordered.
The owner is super kind and also recommended El xiringuito de l’Escriba for paella (gf).
Oh! And they just happened to have an extra lemon meringue pie - it was amazing!!!! You have to order them in advance typically.

I think I misunderstood that this place provided gluten free bagels, which they didn’t. As I spoke English, I asked for the Spanish omelette and they provided me with eggs scrambled instead. They were really nice about fixing my order though and gave me the Spanish omelette (tortilla). The bread I was provided was just a gluten free bun that wasn’t toasted and quite dry. Unfortunately I couldn’t eat the bread because it was so dry and just ate the omelette that was inside it. There was a bit of miscommunication at this place and not my favourite place for a gluten free bite to eat.
