Review of 501 On Main

In the past we’ve had a safe yummy experience but our visit on 7/15/23 was AWFUL! As always we informed our waitress of our gluten issue & she noted it for the cook staff. She then brought out our appetizer & said don’t eat the chips on the plate cause they aren’t gluten free, but the dip & veggies are ok. Mind you the menu had it noted as gluten free & it has been in the past. We obviously sent it back cause of the contamination with the chips. When our food came out it was obvious that the pasta dish wasn’t gluten free pasta, but the waitress wouldn’t do anything but say it’s gluten free. The fish & chips are labeled gluten free on menu, but they weren’t the normal texture & caused sickness for us. The staff struggled to speak & understand English, so I wonder if the cook staff is the same. In the past this place has nailed it, but I think ownership/management has changed. I’m not sure we will go back & risk getting sick!
