Food was delicious! I’m a sensitive celiac and no issues. As usual items were marked GF that had a shared frier, not unusual, just always ask.

Great food and menu marked - however I got sick night after

Waiter said certain things are in shared fryer and ‘if you are not worried about crops contamination then they are really great’

So I’m thinking the marked stuff on menu is gf ingredients but the kitchen doesn’t think much about cross contamination which is why you might get sick.

Shame as the food did taste really really good !

There are many, many items marked gluten free on the menu, but the 2 I tested with my NIMA sensor tested positive for gluten (the martini meatballs and green beans).

Ba Mahn Ga or GF fried chicken. It was good. In fact, I'd like to have some more right now! I have CD and did not have any reaction.
I took this picture of a small portion of the menu to show the "ba mahn ga" or GF fried chicken.

While the menu lists nearly everything as being gluten free, they DO NOT have a separate fryer, making any fried items NOT GLUTEN FREE, despite the use of corn and rice flours. Our waiter was (luckily) knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. I used my Nima sensor and tested both the Pad Thai and the Chile Braised Osso Bucco for gluten - both tests came back gluten free!

Beautiful location, great service, delicious food - just be careful what you order.

I am actually still here dining and have to express how sensational this place is. I mean, gluten-free or not, this is an outstanding restaurant! We started with the lobster popcorn - just WOW! First of all, hello, it’s gluten-free! Secondly, the lobster is delicious, the batter is light but crispy, and the sauce is excellent. But wait, the greens underneath it are not to be overlooked! And it’s served in a Martini glass, cute! Then we moved on to the Bahn Ma Ga, gluten-free fried chicken. Another one hit out of the PARK! Delicious chicken, light batter, excellent spices that give it flavor without overpowering it. And service was as good it’s EVER going to get! I mean, our server, Jorge, was personable, knowledgeable, and passionate about his job. We really enjoyed talking to him as he guided us through the menu. But wait, then there’s the flan. Yes, flan, at a Vietnamese/Asian restaurant. It totally kicks butt. I mean, it is the best flan I’ve ever had. Like EVER. And we eat out a LOT. There’s a hint of lime, the custard is the perfect consistency, the topping is excellent, it is just an amazing dish. The ambiance is nice, love the artwork, the music is hip but fun, we just enjoyed ourselves here and MUST return.

We came here because of the great reviews, and we can see see WHY the reviews are so good. Because it’s true. We were only here in Palm Springs one night, and we’re so glad we chose 533 Viet Fusiion as our restaurant. We’re coming back!

I only had the Ba Mahn Ga or gluten free fried chicken. It was very good. The waiter was very attentive. I liked it. They had many GF options and told me others could be modified to be prepared gluten free. They had GF coconut lime flan and GF flourless chocolate cake for dessert. I enjoyed my visit and would definitely go again.

Majority of menu is gf. They have one fryer but server said there is no flour on anything just corn or rice starch. Had lobster popcorn, pricey for a smallish portion but vg. Had fried chicken and coleslaw-very tasty!! Cocktails were fantastic and had a dessert that was one of the best I’ve ever had. A coconut lime flan.

Excellent option for those with Celiac! My husband and I had dinner here and we both loved our meals. The menu was great - lots of choices for those who need GF and those who don’t. Food was flavorful, delicious, and fresh. Service was great! Server was very knowledgeable about GF and made sure to note my allergy for the kitchen to take all necessary precautions.

Definitely the most comforting experience I've had dining with celiac. It doesn't hurt that the food was incredible, too, in its own right! As soon as I said that I have celiac and need to avoid cross-contamination, before I had even begun my normal spiel, our waiter Bronson explained that they start with clean pans and utensils, don't soften the rice noodles in the same water as wheat noodles, but DO have gluten in their fryer. He offered steamed tofu as an alternative. He checked back in once he'd informed the kitchen. Small gestures like that help so much with the inevitable eating-out anxiety. I felt so taken care of!! If you have celiac and are looking for an easy and joyful dining experience in Palm Springs, this is your place.

The easiest dining experience I’ve had during my stay here. Both the online and in-restaurant menus were clearly marked with gluten free options, and that included almost 3/4 of the menu. The ingredients are fresh, the marinated meats are excellent, and the service was superb. Highly recommend!!

I was informed by my waiter that almost all dishes could be prepared GF and that they do so on separate surfaces. We had surf and turf spring rolls and a bowl of chicken meatball pho...both delicious and no issues at all!
