Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats

So i sometimes forget that i have celiac, anyways i got the parfait (df lemon soft serve with blue raspberry slush). didn’t even think to tell the person i have celiac, ate it and was fine. granted i don’t think they had made a cone at the window i was at in a while. it was also very good!

The Dole Whip and blue slushy drink is gluten free and dairy free (the Parfait). They do sell ice cream cones, so I asked if they could switch their gloves before preparing my order, and they kindly agreed. I did not get sick.

My daughter is GF/DF, so we got her a Pixar Pier Parfait at California Adventure. The man at the window had just handed the previous customer an ice cream cone, so I explained that this was an allergy order and asked if he could change his gloves. He took off his gloves, wiped down the cash register and the parfait dispenser, and then put on a fresh pair of gloves before making her parfait. I was so impressed with the precautions he took to make sure there was no cross contamination! He was being so careful, he almost forgot to ring up the transaction, LOL! My daughter was so thrilled to be able to enjoy an ice-cream-like treat all her own!
