Update: Went back and no longer have dedicated gluten free fryer. Gluten Free Fried Shrimp, Scallops and Fish! Need I say more and all fried in a dedicated fryer! The slaw was yummy too! They use a gluten free rice flour. Only thing I couldn’t eat was deviled crab and fried clams.

They DO NOT HAVE A DEDICATED FRYER. Yes, they only use rice flour on their fried foods BUT there are other things that have gluten fried in the same fryer. I even called ahead. They told me it was a dedicated fryer. I was so excited! Got there, sussed out the menu and then I asked the defining question. Boom. Gluten items fried in same oil. Sad. :-(

We went hoping for the GF fryer. I’m not sure how anyone got that. There were two options told to me by the server: salad or grilled fish. My non GF family enjoyed their food. I ordered a house salad with grilled shrimp and balsamic dressing. It was fine. Definitely not the GF hub it has been reviewed as by others.

I had a hard time finding gluten free options listed. We got this as a carry out meal and I couldn’t find a place online that listed gluten free options. The food here was very, very average (I don’t live at the beach so it was exciting that it was seafood but nowhere near as good as most of the other meals we ate in the area) and overpriced in my opinion.

I'm guessing they have greatly improved their understanding of gluten free since the last review was left. Our experience tonight was fantastic! The menu notes they have a gluten free batter, so for the first time in 8 years I enjoyed fried shrimp. The meal came with hush puppies and the waitress brought them in a seperate dish because she knew they contained gluten but thought someone else at our table might want them. The food was so good and such a treat!
The staff was very uneducated about gluten and celiac disease. The lady repeatedly told me I couldn’t have things on the menu because it had butter, milk, dairy, etc after I repeatedly told her I can have all those things just not flour, wheat, barley, and rye etc.
