I ate here for the first time as I had received a gift card. While they don’t have a gluten free menu, our waitress was happy to walk through the menu with me and let me know what was gluten free or what I could eat with modifications. I ordered the blackened grouper with polenta and it was delicious! I had also wanted the fried green tomatoes, but when the waitress checked with the kitchen she noted that they do not have a separate fryer, so there was a risk with cross contamination.
I do have celiac disease but I am not extremely sensitive so I can’t speak to that aspect, but the food was great so I will most likely be back!
Horrible experience! My friends and ate there and 3 of the five of us are gluten free. Nothing is marked on the menu. The waiter made us feel like it was a complete inconvenience to find out what food was gluten free. I had eaten there 1 other time and had a great waitress. I had eaten the Brussel sprouts with no issue. This time I asked the waiter to please make sure the Brussel sprouts were gluten free. I said I did eat them last time. He said to me "well obviously you didn't die" Are you serious?! When I called to speak to the manager she defended the waiter. No apology! This is not acceptable customer service, gluten free or not!! I will not go back to this restaurant!
