This was in 2020. Anytime gf fish and chips is available, I try to get it. The fish was good, but the tartar sauce contained horseradish which made it too hot for me. The slaw portion was very small, made from kale, and was spicy. I loved the thick fries. I may return to try other dishes.

Update: I went back the next day and had the Irish Chicken Dance (a soup). The flavor was good, but the soup could have been hotter. Also, we sat inside because it was cold outside. The bartender was also the server and didn’t always have his mask on.

We had a great meal and I felt confident eating the fish and chips. I am non celiac gluten intolerant. I can’t say it would be a safe place for someone with CD.

UPDATE: I returned about a week after leaving this review and unfortunately had a bad experience and ended up getting sick. I think the food itself is delicious but do not have faith in the staff's training and knowledge of gluten free practices. If you visit, consider speaking with a manager or kitchen staff before ordering.

Alchemy has recently updated their menu to include more GF options. Much of what they fry is gluten free and the food was so good. The fish and chips were amazing and so flavorful. We also had the Irish nachos and wings, all of which were excellent.

Staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The menus are clearly marked to indicate what is gluten-free and what is not. When asked what might make a dish not gluten-free, the server knew exactly what it was and was able to accommodate our request. There were just the two of us there but we were treated well and would recommend highly

Celiac friendly?

Yes

Their main menu contains Gluten Free available options. The food was really good and I liked all the options available. I don’t think they have dedicated space for gluten free prep so there is a possibility of cross contamination like many other restaurants.
