Do NOT eat here if you’re going to get sick or have an allergic reaction. The chef tried to tell me that if I couldn’t eat gluten then I couldn’t eat rice…and when I very nicely tried to explain that gluten is a protein in wheat barley and rye she cut me off and SNAPPED at me saying she’s a CHEF and she knows exactly what gluten is. Then tried to tell me something about starch and sugar. With each passing word I realized they have no clue and they don’t care to. I also got a salad - told them tree nut allergy and it came out with some rogue pieces of cashew. Honestly never had a worse experience in New Orleans and it’s a shame because the food and atmosphere is quite good (I had ceviche), but I don’t trust I can eat here safely.
