What a treasure! We made an unexpected stop in Greencastle with family, and I dreaded not finding anything we could eat. We almost missed it because we didn’t realize it was a restaurant at first. There’s a place in our town with a similar name that is a home furnishings place. LOL
They do not have a separate gluten-free menu, and they do not have a separate fryer. However, they do have gluten-free items marked on the menu. Mostly, they have salads for the GF crowd, but these are not your average salad. I had a steak salad with cheese crumbles, strawberries, and blueberries with a blueberry vinaigrette on a bed of very fresh greens. They seem accommodating and no doubt could do any of their meats GF without a problem. They have a full-service coffee house options, and I think I saw a bar. Best of all, they had a “real” GF dessert. It was a decadent, chocolate fudge, brownie type cake? Soo good! We bake gluten free at home all the time, and no one else matches what we make it home. However, this is the first time in forever I found a GF dessert that was delicious at a restaurant. So nice to find somebody who offers something other than a scoop of vanilla ice cream as their gluten-free dessert option!
