Review of Alternative Fuel Coffee House

Be very careful if you don’t know what’s gf and what’s not. The stag thought they were knowledgeable but I don’t think they knew exactly what gf is. They said the oats in the fuel bites were “rolled oats so they are gf” but that’s not completely true obviously I didn’t get that obviously. CAUTION some smoothies have malt so those are not gluten free. However the smoothie I chose and the gf cookies were very delicious and went back again.

Kirsten. Correct, rolled oats are NOT gf certified oats. As for the the fuel bites, we do use Quaker oats, which are NOT certified. However, for us, they are the most economical and cost affective. And generally if the conversation is one of gf issues and smoothies are ordered, we do direct customers away from the malt items, or if anything, advise removal of the malt.
