My daughter safely ate the bruschetta, pizza and ice cream with cherries for dessert. The pizza is cooked on a screen to separate it from the gluten and she did not react. She is sensitive to cc.

This restaurant was amazing. I went here with one of my girlfriends who is coeliac. Aside from her uncovering my infidelity, we had a great meal. They had a separate gluten free menu with many options for both starters and main course. The gluten free menu doesn’t include dessert but they have ice cream which they can serve with cherries/chocolate sauce which we would recommend. The waitresses appeared very knowledgeable about the coeliac lifestyle and were most accommodating to us, and were very friendly. Overall a great restaurant which I would highly recommend to other coeliac/gluten free girlos out there

I had a lovely dinner here with one of my buddies. They had a separate gluten free menu which I was very excited about. They had gluten free pasta, pizza and starters!!! I had gluten free bruschetta and it was unreal. The only GF dessert option was ice cream but the rest of the food was so lovely!! Staff also very kind 😃😃

After a full day seeing the sights from One Day and shopping with a teenager, we had worked up an appetite. This place got good reviews on here so we chanced our luck and went in without a reservation. Thankfully they could accommodate us. Service was very quick and they brought us a gf menu for my daughter. She ordered carbonara and when it arrived, it was a huge plate of pasta. I had a panic cos there was no little flag or diff coloured plate to indicate gf but the waitress assured us it def was gf. Daughter said it tasted fantastic and she ate quite a bit of it. Would def recommend- wasn’t too pricey either £34 for the both of us - main courses and a drink each and the tip included.

Really good place for gluten free food. They informed us that the pizza oven was the same used for regular pizzas, thought they use different equipment, which wasn't a bother for me but worth noting. A large selection of pizza dishes and pasta dishes - made with red lentil pasta. I had the chicken which was beautiful. And of the desserts, four were GF and only two weren't. A lovely meal for an affordable price, I'd go again if I'm in Edinburgh!

Fun place, GF options, nice atmosphere. As a gluten-sensitive, lactose intolerant person, Italian food is usually a non-starter. But my son really wanted to eat pizza. Staff is very accommodating. The GF pasta is red lentil and not the greatest tasting pasta out there, but the sauce was great!!😁

Very disappointing experience. Full gluten free menu which is mostly unsafe for those with celiac disease. The pasta is a red lentil one which was mushy. The server was not very understanding of allergies/intolerances and made uncomfortable jokes about having little to nothing available especially with desert. I was served a biscuit with my desert which was not gluten free but thankful I didn’t eat it before I checked. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

A lovely restaurant full of a plethora of delicious food choices! A wonderful experience. The pasta I got was cooked wonderfully (as opposed to the undercooked mess I sometimes get from others) and the gluten free appetisers are such a luxury. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience. Definitely get your bang for the buck here. Not the best gf pizza we’ve had, but highly recommend all the appetizers and pasta! Seriously, load up on appetizers. This place is so delicious we went there twice. And dessert is phenomenal.

Lecker GF Pizza Magarita der Boden wer ehr ungewöhnlich vom Geschmack her schmeckte nicht zu sehr nach Reis. Der Rand schön knusperig. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

The food was amazing - I got the GF pizza as a celiac and it was outstanding. A separate GF menu can be brought out if you request it. Lots of options!

Absolutely amazing! Gluten free pizza and pasta available. Pizza was delicious as well as the pasta. Right on the square so great vibe around. Quite busy so booking would be good for a group. Highly recommend. ❤

Seperate gf menu, great food and great service.

Explained our table of two were both Coeliac and the waiter was very accommodating. Food was delicious and no cross contamination thankfully. I’d recommend it
Yes
When I told the waitress I was celiac, she immediately brought me a gluten-free menu. The staff were very attentive and helpful and understood about cross-contamination. My husband ordered fish, which was excellent, and I had a pea and pancetta risotto that was a bit saltier than I’d like, but still delicious (I devoured it all). La Locanda has tastier Italian food, but Amarone has a much bigger space, so it’s easier to get in without a reservation, and we would happily return anytime.
