Review of American Melts

I had the best fancy grilled cheese ever today, and it was reasonably priced! The owner was very understanding of avoiding cross contamination and offers everything with gluten free bread. Including tax and tip three of us ate for close to $10 a head. Very reasonable for a killer sandwich. My husband and I both had the Dagwood. It had thin sliced layers of ham, American cheese, caramelized onions, and lovely tomato slices between two hearty large slices of gluten free bread. It didn't even shatter or fall apart! Our friend had the dusk to dawn with eggs, well done bacon, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions. We have agreed this will become part of our routine. We ate nearby outdoors in the park. Apparently they also do nice things to tater tots.
