We are local and Amicas is our go to for GF pizza. Best GF crust I have ever had. My Son has celiac’s and I am very gluten sensitive and we both feel safe when eating here.

I am a very severe celiac, get extremely sick with cross contamination. The manager came out to explain how it will all be handled. I felt safe enough after the reviews and talking to the manager. My pizza went into a different oven even. I did not get sick and have to say it was the best crust I have ever had. 5+ stars 🙌

Their gluten free pizza crust is the most bread like I have ever had! The crust was thick and held together. Flavors were amazing! My server was super helpful.

I have celiacs and when we asked about allergy options our server seemed very knowledgeable and understanding. She told us that they try there best to not cross contaminate and that they did not put the gluten free pizza on the same surface as the regular. They did not mark the pizza that was gluten free but our server gave me my pizza first. The pizza was really good, tasted very Italian and delicious. I had a reaction the next day but I didn’t want vegan cheese so I went light on the mozzarella.

I love Amicas pizza and have been going here for years but this time was the last. I was ordering take out pizza for a group and my pizza was Gf. I asked which of the three boxes was the GF one and the counter person told me it was the bottom one. I didn’t realize until I had eaten almost the whole pizza that the crust matched the non GF kids pizza and that others were eating the GF pizza. They do not label their GF take out boxes and absolutely should. I no longer will eat here which is unfortunate because there aren’t a lot of options in Salida.

Amicas is most certainly not celiac safe! I am diagnosed celiac, and the servers (and owner) all said that they bake the gf pizza on the same surface that they bake all of the other pizzas. They say they will sweep the oven for you before your pie goes in, but for anyone with celiac, that is a dangerous gamble. Would not recommend for celiacs. But man do I wish they would figure something out. Pre-diagnosis, they were by far my favorite restaurant in town

Went there two nights in a row because it was so good. My dad says it’s the best gluten free pizza he’s ever had. We are both very sensitive and neither of us got sick either night.

If you have a gluten intolerance, this place will be fine. The staff will do everything they can to mitigate cross contamination. They will wash hands, clean/wipe down boards, bake your pizza on a plate in the oven. (Note: I did ask to watch the whole process as the kitchen is open to patrons.) The crust is just ok, I know other reviews raved about it, but it isnt anything special.
The kitchen is open to the restaurant, and there is a huge possibility of cross contamination, as there is no separation. I wish I had asked to watch them make a pizza before ordering. The waiter assured me that other celiacs had eaten there without any problems. I can only advise, if you are a celiac DO NOT EAT HERE!! I don't have silent celiac, and while initially, I didn't think I would have problems; I sure ad heck did. I ended up constipated for the next 3 days due to inflammation in the GI tract as well as absorption issues for the next week. It is not worth eating here for all the problems it caused.

After talking to the guy at the counter I didn’t feel comfortable eating here. The GF pizza is baked directly on the bricks with the other pizza. And their website says the panini, chicken, and pork aren’t safe for allergies. He basically said the safest option is the salad and then he said even the tables are going to be contaminated with flour because of how much flour was floating around. I’m glad he was honest and the reason I’m leaving this review is because the app makes it look safe but it’s not, even though I’m sure their food is great.

One of the best gf crusts I’ve ever had! Yum! Pretty sensitive and no issues.

Wow! By far the best gluten free pizza crust we have ever had. We have been gluten free for 10+ years and have tried everything from Dominos to homemade dough.... this place beats them all! They get their dough to rise and it was light and delicious. They also offer bread for paninis (seemed to be Udis, but still was very good) and two dessert options. Vegan cheese available too! No dedicated kitchen space but took precautions avoid to cross contamination. Had some ciders as well. Will definitely be back next time we are in Salida.
