Amigos Cafe Y Cantina

I so wanted to like this place. The food is good and fresh, but they have NO understanding of gluten. Although the guy working the counter seemed confident when we discussed it that it was no problem... he couldn't communicate that to the kitchen at all! My salad came out in a flour shell. I told him I couldn't eat that. So, he went back and put it on a plate. Then I noticed it had tortilla strips on it and they looked like flour, but he didn't know. I sent it back again and they picked them off and returned it... How do I know because I crunched a few while I was eating it. I am sensitive not celiac and starving because I had waited 40 minutes at this point and I had already told my husband to eat his. So, I ate it.
