Waitress was knowledgeable and was able to explain all options. Shared fryer but plenty of other options.

GF items aren’t marked on the in-person menu but they are marked on their online menu, so I knew in advance what I could eat. I had a shredded chicken bowl with black beans, corn salsa, and cilantro. The waitress was careful to mark it as an allergy. The food was very flavorful and tasty! Highly recommend

Menu items are not marked GF but the waitress knew exactly what could be made GF. Waitstaff very well informed.
Very filling meal. I had the carne asada bowl with Mexican street corn on the cob. Best meal I had in key west.
They also had corn tortilla tacos and quesadillas. All taco flavors except the potatoes were GF.

went here due to our first option having no gf protocols. it was amazing & the staff knows what they are talking about. no dedicated kitchen, but they prevent cross contamination as best as they can. got the 3 corn tortilla tacos. so so good! i really recommend this place, best Mexican place i’ve had in a while.

Not a lot of options for celiacs, can’t get anything fried, including chips but I got a bowl with chicken, rice, beans, and corn. It was good but filling. Didn’t get sick. Wish they had a dedicated fryer though and their options would increase for celiacs. Waitress said tacos are gf but are made on the same grill as wheat tortillas so can’t guarantee it to be safe. Waitress was very helpful and said she also had to eat gf and only gets the bowls!

Don’t you just love it when you go somewhere, mention Celiac and the waitress instantly tells you what’s safe on the menu and how they take precautions in the kitchen. Me too! That’s what you can expect at Amigos. We felt extremely safe eating here and enjoyed the great Mexican food.

When I asked the server if they had any gluten free options, she immediately asked me if I could have any cross contact or not. Due to my celiac disease I told her no cross contact, and she was able to point out multiple options on the menu. I went with the small chicken quesadilla, and it was delicious! I wish we were in Key West for longer than just our day trip, I would definitely eat there again!

Had the chicken burrito bowl with black beans and gaucamole. Tested negative for gluten with my Nima and tasted amazing! They also have Stella Artois Cidre. Stay away from Funky Buddha. It is listed as gluten free but when you look it up, it contains trace amounts of gluten and is therefore not celiac safe. SOOOO good! I plan on coming back again later this weekend!
So, went back the next day and the same thing tested positive for gluten. Still don’t regret going the first time so good! But buyer beware.

Had the burrito bowl and didn't get sick. Establishment was small and I wasn't keen on the bathroom situation in case I got sick. The beef was good but rice was very dry. Overall good for a quick bite. I would recommend taking to go.

If you’re a sensitive Celiac like me, you’re always looking for the highest rated place on this app. This place is definitely one of them. Upon sitting down, we had asked our waitress which items were GF on the menu since they’re not marked, and the first question she asked was “can you do cross contamination or no cross contamination” so immediately I felt more comforted knowing they knew the precautions to take for Celiacs. Basically all the tacos and bowls can be made GF expect the deep fried fish (obvi). I got the chicken bowl and it was delicious. Very flavorful. Not huge portions but it was perfect for a quick lunch. Didn’t get sick so highly recommend. Just tell them you’re Celiac and absolutely no CC!

Great place to eat safely here in the Florida Keys. Food was amazing. Waitress knew exactly what my celiac daughter could and could not have. They have a whole gluten free menu as well. The food was excellent. She had the street corn ( amazing) and gluten free corn cheese quesadilla and had no issues at all. Highly recommend for stress free celiac eating.

I wanted to check out this place after seeing the other reviews. No items are marked gluten free on the menu. Only thing I saw marked was seltzers. After asking about gluten free options, I ordered corn on the cob and the potato/chorizo bowl. The corn was awesome. The taco bowl was ok. It had tiny potatoes in it supposedly made on a flattop. I did feel a little sick, but I did not vomit (like usual after gluten), so I’m unsure if things were cross contaminated. Overall, would go again.

Very knowledgeable about Celiac and gluten free options. Had the taco platter. 2 shrimp and 1 fish. The soft shell was definitely gluten free and not the best flavor obviously like most. Gritty feeling but the flavor in the Tacos made up for it! They were great! Also have gluten free Beer! Definitely a good spot in KW

place was pretty good. chipotle like, but more authentic and had their own twist. I got a burrito bowl and gluten free IPA. but the IPA was confusing as hell basically: this has gluten but most gluten has been removed and was labeled gluten free… but i have felt fine, just be cautious if you’re very sensitive; I have celiac but usually cross contamination i’m okay.

Had to try it out after seeing so many positive reviews. The food was tasty, but left afterwards feeling sick. Their “gluten free” beer list included Omission beer, which is not technically safe for people with celiac disease due to it being “gluten removed” beer, not gluten free. Took a sip before seeing on the can the “gluten removed” label. Informed our waitress and she happily replaced it with a seltzer, but at that point it was too late. A little disappointing that they would include Omission on their gluten free drink list, as it can easily confuse people.

the food was sooo amazing!! I ate there twice while on my trip and had no issues at all. I got the chicken tacos with corn tortillas of course and I didn’t get sick so I am confident that they take allergies seriously. I had to ask what item were gluten free but they were very knowledgeable and told me that the chips were not safe because fried with flour items. Shrimp tacos were delicious and I didn’t get sick!
Square tacos!!! They were amazing! Corn tortillas! I also had the street corn and their yummy drink specials. Service was great. The only bummer is you can’t have the chips. They are in a shared fryer. Would go back 100 times. Also their rice and re fried black beans. Yummy!

I thoroughly enjoyed the burrito bowl with chicken and the corn on the cob. Other GF options also looked good. I’ll probably return again this week! NOTE: I did return two more times this week and also enjoyed the quesadillas and tacos!
Waitress was very knowledgeable regarding which dishes were gluten safe. I am a very serious celiac and was guided to the the chicken bowl. Very good and did not get sick. Hostess was a bit of a jerk. Long wait for a table during New Years holiday.
