This was excellent! I read another few reviews and decided to try the chicken parm and OH MY LORD it was Devine! You can’t tell it’s GF it’s so delicious! I can’t wait to go back and try some other things! They can make many of their items GF! Also the portion was HUGE and the chicken was tender!

BEST chicken parm I’ve ever had, even before going gf! Oh the sauce and fresh basil. I came close to closing and they were kind enough to accommodate me getting takeout. It’s a truly charming Italian restaurant without any cheesy kitch. Nice big bar too. I gotta come back to Mystic just for this restaurant!

Almost everything can be made gluten free. Oddly their in person menu mentioned nothing about it only their online menu but the waiter was very knowledgeable. Got gluten free piccata and Marsala. Very good gf breading and great selection.

They gave us plain GF penne with no butter, salt, or flavoring- had to go back to complain & staff seemed confused. GF does not have to mean zero flavor?

A sister restaurant to nearby Rio Salado, Andiamo is another Mystic restaurant that takes GF seriously. They’ve only been open a week, but the waitress has a list in her pocket of all things that could safely be made GF. They use rice flour and are still searching for GF bread crumbs that work for meatballs (so currently meatballs are not GF but hopefully will be in the future). They can also do GF pizza. They take cross contamination seriously and based on their other restaurants, this will be a Celiac safe place. Bonus points as it’s right off I-95. It is pricey (as is every thing in Mystic) but worth it for the safe food.
