Incredible owners. They know the things that are celiac safe not just gluten free. Separate fryers. Best fish and chips in the city. Brussel sprouts and cauliflower bites as apps were 10/10. Nothing like a Canadian poutine too!

It was incredible! The owner was extremely kind and personable, and answered every question I had. There were separate fryers, clean kitchen spaces, knowledgeable staff, and a very well laid out menu. Plus, it was delicious!! The fries were so crispy, and the GF Oreos for the DEEP FRIED OREOS (!!!) were from Canada, so if anyone is sensitive to oats (like me!) it should be all good. I Would definitely recommend this place!

Great experience every time we eat here. The owners are very understanding of celiac needs and have a full gluten-free menu with separate prep areas. They proactively ask if you are celiac if you order GF, and they not only make recommendations about what you can have, or substitutions you can make, but also are very diligent about making sure everything that comes to the table is flagged as safe or unsafe.

The food is hands down the best I have had out in terms of "pre-diagnosis taste". Cannot give a strong enough recommendation.

We have been loyal customers of Chad’s since he was working at another location, and remain huge fans of Chad and his brother Tate, who are passionate, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the needs of their celiac customers (my husband and daughter). You would never know their dishes are GF and aside from that the quality, freshness and taste of every single dish (we’ve tried almost all of them) are second to none. Never any issues with gluten exposure and always a treat to eat here!

Anglr is owned by two brothers who go out of their way to explain that the (clearly marked) GF menu items will be completely safe for Celiacs. There are some sharing dishes (the crab cakes were delicious) plus the house specialty of Fish & Chips. Even deep fried GF Oreos for dessert! Anglr is a great neighbourhood spot with a nice back patio in the summer. Plus, wonderful service!

The owner and the staff are amazing! They take all dietary needs seriously and provide a very comforting and friendly atmosphere.

This is as close as you can get to a dedicated gf kitchen while still having some gluten options available for non Celiacs. Almost the entire menu can be made gf and they have a dedicated gf fryer.

Also, the food is amazing! I intend to go through the entire gf menu one day!

A Celiac’s dream! Onion rings, fish and chips, calamari - and more. Most things on the menu are gluten free and everything is clearly labelled. Chad the owner is awesome, and he always tells the kitchen of allergies. Also just delicious food - highly recommend the crab cakes!

A must visit if you are in the neighborhood. Found out about this restaurant on this app and tried many of the dishes recommended here. Crab cakes are wonderful and decent portions. I had the tacos (grilled fish and deep fried shrimp). Hubby had the fish and chips with an upgraded poutine side. We had room to share deep fried Oreo with vanilla ice cream. Everything was wonderful and hubby who is celiac did not have any issues / reactions.

Amazing place! Delicious fish, had grilled and it was fresh and flavourful. They also have fried fish which is completely made gf-safe and I’m sure it would be delicious as well. Poutine was gf. I haven’t had fried calamari in years since being diagnosed and the calamari itself was great quality and preparation was tasty. No issues from anything here, all the food was fab.

Probably my favourite gf restaurant in Toronto. The owners (chef and server) are brothers and so insanely friendly. They remember everyone after one visit. The food is incredible. Pretty much everything can be made gf and df. The fish is actually coated and deep fried (separate fryer). It’s not just grilled to make it gf. It tastes like non gf fish and chips. They more than understand celiac and I’ve only ever felt 100% safe there. Some of the mixed drinks aren’t my favourite but that’s ok because I’m really there for the food and they have a wine list.

First of all, GET THE CRABCAKES! I don't have celiac but my wife does, so I've had the chance to eat a larger variety of crab cakes. Not only does Anglr have the best gluten free crab cakes I've ever had, they're the best I've ever had period. The owners and staff here are extremely knowledgeable about gluten safety. We ordered the calamari, crab cakes, and the fish&chips and everything was delicious. We tried to order the gluten free brownie for dessert but unfortunately they had just sold out. The owner apologized and told us that they're working on offering gluten free ice cream sandwiches as a dessert item, outsourcing the cookies from a local gluten free bakery. Cannot recommend this place enough

Random sidenote: The owners of Anglr are the same gentlemen who used to own Off the Hook Fishbar prior to their change in ownership right before COVID. If you've had that iteration of Off the Hook's fish&chips and calamari, their recipe is even better now! Happy to be supporting these guys again, best gluten free seafood in the city!

Upon arriving, our server asked if we had any Celiacs in our group and then assured us we had come to the right place, as they fully understand cross contamination, dedicated fryers etc. Our minds were put at ease before we even ordered drinks! Almost everything on the entire menu is or can be made gluten free. Amazing selection, delicious food (fish & chips, poutine, fish tacos, cauliflower bites, etc etc). I loved that even the kids portions could be gluten free - ours had kid portions of gluten free fish sticks. One gluten free dessert (a brownie with ice cream), but unfortunately they were out of those - but at least our kids could have ice cream.
