Staff was very nice and manager knowledgeable about celiac disease. Waitress even suggested appetizers that I could eat. Did have to send salad back due to croutons despite all of this. This was brought to table by another server who was not the manager or my waitress. I’m a mild celiac. I would not eat here if moderate or severe due to this error.

Beans are made with beer. Tostada fried in oil with gluten items. Only items truly gluten free are grilled chicken with double rice.

I really want to love Angry Cactus but had the same experience as other reviewers on my third visit. Ordered an entree marked as GF with no mods. Fried onions not in description. Let the server know I needed GF just in case. Meal came out with the fried onions on it. We asked if they were GF- she checked and said she was told no. We had explained what happens to me... No offer to remake the $32 meal. Food was excellent but they're not vigilant.

I wanted So badly to try this restaurant. However when a restaurant labels items GF when in reality the cook items in a shared fryer. I feel like this is so misleading. I wish restaurants would actually care about customers with a gluten intolerance or Celiac. At least the lady on the phone was honest and o didn’t waste my time by driving over there. So disappointed.

Food was just ok. I’m willing to pay for good food, but they’re are better places to eat in San Angelo. Cleanliness was not kept in high regard. 6/10 on service. Overall, not a good experience. I will not be returning.

Menu has GF symbols however does not mean you will receive your meal gluten free. Both times I have gone I told my waitress I was gluten free and received gluten on my plate. "GF" fried catfish is fried in shared oil. Must ask to leave off fried onions that top everything (yes, even the "GF" dishes). I would suggest goimg with extreme caution and ask about each menu item individually. I won't return, too much risk with careless gluten-free labelling.

My husband and I have been in San Angelo for about a month now and we've gone to Angry Cactus twice in two weeks. Their menu has a symbol to show which items can be made gluten free, and both times we've gone I've gotten the Old Fashion Catfish which is just so delicious.
