We were visiting friends in Oak Brooke, and I have celiac disease so I felt nervous about eating out in a new place. I did some research and decided to go to Antico Posto. I was so glad I did because it was incredible! They had great service, a knowledgeable staff, a GF menu, an allergy tag on the food, and a good atmosphere on top of that!

My daughter and I (both celiac) recently ate lunch here. Our waitress understood what Celiac Disease was and talked to us (proactively) about cross contamination. Someone from the back (kitchen) delivered our food directly to us (as soon as it was ready, with allergy sticks).
The waitress recommended a gluten free cake to us for dessert and explained how it was baked in a separate oven, however, someone from the kitchen came back out to talk to us and told us he was concerned about us eating it if we were Celiac because all desserts were made in the same area of the kitchen. It was so nice to have someone who understood Celiac and was completely honest with us!! So we skipped the gluten free cake but I am thankful we both were able to have a safe dining experience!

Nice size gf menu. I got a spicy vodka pasta dish which was amazing. They confirmed it’s cooked it new water and separate. Food came out marked with allergy stick. They offered gluten free roll prior to dinner which was nice but it’s very dry. Would definitely go again for dinner.

For dessert ask about the gelato - most flavors are GF (not all) and it’s excellent!
Great experience! Delicious food! I had the chicken limone but also inquired about the pastas and they confirmed that GF pastas are cooked separately from regular pasta. GF roll with a separate oil/cheese dish was much appreciated!
Only 1 GF dessert option: raspberry sorbet

Our waiter was understood that Celiac meant no cross-contamination and my kids had the GF pasta of the day. There was not a selection for dessert, but fresh pasta was great!

GF menu with many options. Knowledgeable staff. GF pasta is fantastic. Risotto of the day varies and is excellent. I have eaten here multiple times without incident. This is a Lettuce Entertain You Restaurant; they take GF and food allergy precautions seriously. I can always dine confidently GF at their restaurants.

I felt very safe at this restaurant. There was a gluten free menu. The server was very knowledgeable and talked to the chef. Gluten free Udi’s dinner rolls were available. The manager brought my food out first and let me know it was gluten free. I ordered a gluten free pasta dish and a GF appetizer.

Third time is a charm! This cozy Italian restaurant has many gf options including tasty gf pasta, fabulous risotto and delicious seafood dishes. The service has been impeccable and the last time we were there the chef came out to clarify gf options. I have not experienced any issues with cross contamination. This restaurant is a keeper!

I had the most amazing experience at Antico Posto! The server was very knowledgeable about celiac and explained the precautions they were going to take with my food (glove changes and clean pans). The GF penne bolognese was delicious. They also had really good gelato that was GF for dessert

I ate here assuming that since it was a nice restaurant and the reviews were good that it wouldn’t be a problem. I ended up getting very sick when I got home... maybe it was because the restaurant was busy and they had some cross contamination issue? but one things for sure I’m never eating here again.
No
Their gluten free bread sticks were hard as a rock and unbelievably bland the first time I was there. Not edible. Second time they were okay. Pasta bolognese was pretty good. They say they cook separately for those with celiac.
They seem to really get it here. They take extra precaution with identifying a GF meal throughout the process. They have a separate menu too. Oh and the grilled calamari is tremendous.
Yes
Gluten free pasta is the best I've ever had! Grilled calamari to start. GF menu had several options. Can't wait to go back!
Their gluten free pasta was excellent! I had the bolognese, and would order it again in a heartbeat! Our waiter was very knowledgeable about what items could be made gluten free. He also suggested the panna cotta for dessert. It was delicious.
Best GF pasta ever. Bolognese is divine.
Nice selection of gluten free items. The gf pasta is very good.
