Almost everything is gluten free and staff super knowledgeable! Small plates for sharing that are delicious and different than what I would cook at home. $$$ but beautiful atmosphere and great service. Would definitely return

Five stars to what is a somewhat hidden GF gem in our city: Aperitivo! We just came from a meal there that was a kaleidoscope of flavours and freshness. Everything done to perfection, served up by the very hard-working Erica with deep knowledge and great passion for the food. Nearly everything on the menu is GF and their sensitivity to celiacs is keen. If you are going for your first time, this restaurant shines most when you share dishes. I haven’t enjoyed a meal out this much in years, and with complete comfort that there would be no uninvited gluten at the table! (And the non-celiacs loved it just as much.) Go! aperitivo.ca

if you haven't eaten here it's a must! The best gf gem in Ottawa. I have never been sick here and I am SUPER sensitive... not to mention you can basically eat the entire menu. My non celiac boyfriend loves this place as much as I do. THANK YOU APPERITIVO!

Really good food. Menu changes often. Had fish tacos, which were amazing, and some duck with potatoes. Very safe and knowledgable.

Wow. Entire menu is gluten free except the breads they don’t make in house. Food is spectacular. I took y’all advice and had the corn bread. Divine. Couldn’t decide from so many options, so asked the server for suggestions. Had the lamb kofta with whipped garlic and pickled onions and pistachios, and the roasted beets with goat cheese and olives. Wow. Amazing meal.

Incredible food, service, and atmosphere. Try the corn bread if it’s on the menu when you’re there. It’s unreal how good it is.

Great high end restaurant for celiacs. Most of the items on the menu are GF, and ALL the desserts! GF tarts, strawberry shortcake etc GF! Finally, a place where a celiac can try & share all the desserts! (and most menu items). Highly recommended!

Everything on the menu except bread and crostini was gluten free. Fryer was GF, and even the fried items such as cheese balls and dessert donuts were GF. We had such a fantastic meal, even the non GF absolutely loved it. They don’t mention gf on the menu - just note it to the staff when making your reservation and they will come and chat with you explaining the menu. Absolutely excellent service, food and everything.

My husband is celiac so we are limited in places to go. We went to Aperitivo last Saturday with another couple and had a great time. The service was fantastic and the food was great. It was nice to enjoy a meal without worrying about cross-contamination.

Staff is very knowledgeable and the menu is almost completely gluten free. Try the specials they are usually amazing. I've had at least 10 meals here, have never been sick and always leave satisfied.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G This place was nothing short of amazing. The food was delightful, no, incredible. The service was prompt and knowledgable. The decor was welcoming. The best part was that the entire menu was gluten free. The owner too the time to come talk to us and tell us about his wife who was celiac... The reason he pushes the kitchen do go gluten free.

The fish tacos, pouring and cheesecake were amazing. I can't wait to go eat the rest. Soo many options.
