Even after viewing the binder and ordering something "free of wheat" along with the waitress assuring me that my order would be prepared with the utmost care. I still am leaving sick. I will never eat here again.

I went with my 2 sons who have celiacs. The manager was so helpful-came over with the binder and explained everything. Our waiter,Jeff, was also very helpful. Overall, one of the better gf experiences we've had.
"As America’s Favorite Neighbor, the health and safety of our guests are top priorities at Applebee’s. As part of our commitment to you, we provide the most current allergen information available from our food suppliers on eight common allergens plus gluten and added monosodium glutamate (MSG), so that our guests with food allergies can make informed food selections. Please be aware that during normal kitchen operations involving shared cooking and preparation areas, including common fryer oil, the possibility exists for food items to come in contact with other food products. Due to these circumstances, we are unable to guarantee that any menu item can be completely free of allergens."
This place does NOT have a GF menu, which tells me they have suppliers that they don't monitor. The staff are not educated and when you ask about GF options, they bring out 'The Binder' which shows a list of items you still have to cross reference with the menu, and cross reference again by specific elements in each of the already cross checked menu items. It would be nice if they just marked the regular menu with possible allergens, or just don't bother at all? Why don't these chains just have standard things they always have that are always ok for certain allergies? Gluten is a growing issue that more and more people are becoming aware of. Get ahead on the curve people! So I go elsewhere.

Several gf options. Follow their allergen list. Eaten there many times and never gotten sick.
DONT EAT HERE
Had a terrible experience, menu items are marked “gluten sensitive” however staff don’t know anything about the ingredients. I was advised to check the website for the Ingredients and they couldn’t tell me what was in it as to not assume liability for someone misreading the menu and having a reaction. Just generally would not go here and wouldn’t recommend to anyone who’s worried about cross contamination. They don’t seem to care when it comes to allergies

I have eaten here before but I wouldn't exactly call it a wise dining choice for someone with Celiac If they want to feel well afterwards. Proceed with caution.

My husband and I here quite a bit when we both had a long day. Have a decent selection of gluten-free items. Never had any issues eating here. Staff is really great. Like I said we eat here quite a bit.

They have gf options BUT I believe they are called gluten-sensitive. The waitress made sure to mention that to me before I ordered a they are not dedicated gf. She said she had to tell me for legal reasons. I got the fish and fries. I was cautious but didn't get sick thankfully. However, I also haven't been back since then bc I just didn't want the risk. Sick is miserable.

I have celiac and tried ordering off the menu of items that were listed Gluten Sensitive. I told the waitress that I have a celiac and to make sure my food wasn’t cross contaminated. I knew right after my meal that it was cross contaminated. Also I ordered a Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad and told the bartender that I have a gluten allergy so no croutons but gave me a bread stick. Like I was only able to eat half my salad since the other side had the bread stick
