Not recommended. Not the friendliest staff, even at non-peaknhours with no line behind me, and server didn't speak English well enough to understand questions/concerns. The cashier said only the salmon bowl & beef bowl are GF, but nothing about any add ones... When I brought up concern about cross contamination, she quickly shot it down and said they have dedicated utensil for everything, but then the lady prepping the food used her hands to pick up things instead of the dedicated utensil... My concerns were not addressed. Consume at your own risk
— No gluten-free information on the menu
Two GF rice bowls on the menu, I explained my celiac to the waiter/counter person and he was able to point out GF options and listened to my requests to use new gloves and avoid cross contamination in preparing my meal. Had a salmon rice bowl and it was very tasty!

Do not make the same mistake I did. The food was cold and I ended up getting sick from it. The salmon was labeled GF but it tasted like there was soy sauce. Either I got glutened or regular food poisoning. Neither of those are good.

Where do I start? the veggies were mushy, salmon overcooked, and rice not cooked through. I'm not sure if I started feeling badly because of being glutened or because the food was that bad.
It is one of the only establishments in Chcago Midway that claims to have gluten free options.
My stomach is claiming otherwise. I'm hurting really badly.
Disappointed in the walk up service and with Chicgo Midway options in general.

If you have Celiac or an allergy to wheat, do NOT eat or trust anything from Arami! I had a two hour layover in Midway yesterday and after reading comments here, I decided to see if they were a viable option. After speaking with three of the employees, I learned that the soy sauce they use as a glaze in the beef and salmon is wheat based. So even though they may provide packets of gluten free soy sauce, nothing here is safe/gluten free!

The chef is knowledge and will tell you what is ok. Felt confident in his ability to communicate and talk about gf. They have gf soy sauce. And some sushi options.

The menu was clearly marked. The server steered us to either the salmon or beef teriyaki bowls. We had the beef Teri bowl and it was good. Finally, someone who actually knew something about GF in Chicago Midway airport. 8/28/21: Still open and serving! Seems to be the only choice for GF at Chicago Midway. GF items are clearly marked on the menu.

Located in Terminal A near A9. Had the Teri Beef bowl and it was much better than I anticipated. Made me wish this restaurant was located in my hometown.

Had the salmon rice bowl. Delicious! I noticed others ordering who had far more restrictions than I and the staff was very happy to accommodate. Great place to grab a chair at the counter and get a tasty bite to eat.

As previous posters have noted, Midway is not Celiac friendly and although I searched, I found no alternatives. I chose the beef entree and it was disappointing. Lukewarm and too greasy for my tastes. But as others stated, at least it was something to eat.

I ordered the teriyaki beef after I was shown the bottle they use for the soy sauce, which is actually 100% GF Tamari. They also do not use butter in their rice or anything containing gluten. I also got Kind bar, banana, and bottled water.
They were very kind to take the time to answer all my questions. I also wanted the kimchi. The container was brought out and they read the ingredients. Even though it is GF and DF, it has MSG which causes migraines for me.
The food is delicious. I would eat here again.

The Tari Beef was delicious. Staff super friendly and very helpful.
Menu is labeled, staff is knowledgable. Also good food for being in Midway!

The Sushi chef at airport Arami (John) was educated about celiac and cross contamination. They have gluten free soy sauce and tamari. (Red dispenser)

This place was great. Despite some questionable reviews, I decided to give it a try. Menu clearly labeled gluten-free items. But there are other options. Simply smile and ask questions nicely. The staff was incredibly accommodating. They will add or subtract whatever vegetables and sides work for you.
Clearly marked menu and gluten free soy sauce available.
Waitress and chef told me the GF options are not safe for Celiac. Maybe depends on chef.
No
Staff was very knowledgeable. They clearly knew what had gluten and what did not. Happy to have found them.
Yes
Clearly marked menu, delicious.
The imitation crab has wheat and their tempura has wheat, so a lot of the menu items that are marketed Gluten Free are ABSOLUTELY NOT. Be careful what you order and ask lots of questions. One point for them: they have gluten free soy sauce!
Yes
Teriyaki salmon bowl was delicious. Clearly marked gf menu
I had the Salmon rice bowl. Menu says it is gf. We will see how tomorrow is, but this was the only gf option I could find in A at Midway.
Asked staff about gluten free options and was given a few choices. Told her it was an allergy not a preference. Was told the salmon bowl was safe...it most definitely was not. Haven’t been glutened so badly before.
