Tried to eat here and the server looked puzzle when I asked for gf. I explained in Spanish that I couldn’t have flour and she said she didn’t know and there was no one in the kitchen or a manager who could help me. Maybe it was just because it was lunchtime and dinner would have been better staffed. Don’t know.
I was so pleased to discover this small restaurant with authentic Venezuelan food! They also have Colombian and Cuban. I had tostones and arepas, and loved the jugo de guanabana - all very filling and a good price. Service is excellent! The chef understood my needs and said the tostones were fried in oil only for them. Arepas are corn cakes that are filled with several types of fillings - many gluten-free choices. I had no reaction the next day. Highly recommend it!
