Edit: I used to eat here regularly but things have changed and I haven’t been this sick in awhile. The service is still bad and the wait time is long but the food used to be good and safe. Be cautious of new staff that might not know much about gluten free prep
I’ve loved every location I’ve been to until this one! Terrible service! Waitress was uneducated on allergies and only had two tables yet we got two drinks in an hour and 45 minutes! Almost two hours for lunch and only four tables of people. Then I got sick from the food. BEWARE of this place and go anywhere else!

There were a few options, but I would not recommend this place for a person with celiacs. I got sick from this place.
When I visited on Aug. 5th, the staff was kind and courteous, and the atmosphere fun, retro, and relaxing. Aroogas even advertises a gluten free menu (and has received excellent reviews on FindMeGlutenFree for having a kitchen trained in dietary restrictions). However, even after explaining the severity of my celiac disease to the waitress and the need to order solely off their gluten free menu, I still ended up receiving my order with potato rolls (which contain wheat) rather than gluten free buns. I realized this after eating one bite, and the staff was very kind and genuinely apologetic and quickly fixed my order. However, as anyone with celiac disease knows, the damage was done, and it has taken me about two weeks to start regaining my energy and overcoming abdominal cramps.
I blame myself for not talking to a manager first when I arrived and for being too trusting, especially since I rarely eat out due to the severity of my celiac. That said, a restaurant should not advertise gluten free if they cannot make good on it, especially since this can severely affect someone's health - it's not a fad for me, it's avoiding chronic pain and staying healthy. Again, the staff was very kind and apologetic, but the restaurant needs to take gluten-free off the menu. If you do not have any food issues, then this likely would be an enjoyable and fun dining experience. However, if you have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, then stay far, far away. Risking your health is not worth it.

Dined here because they were rated highly by others, as well as claim to have trained staff in preparing safe gf meals.
Daughter was glutened here, even after telling our server she was eating gluten free for medical reasons.
Will never eat at any of the Aroogas ever again-and will not trust restaurant reviews on Find Me Gluten Free.
Biggest mistake I ever made.

Staff was knowledgeable, lots of options, good food.

The staff was wonderful. There was an issue with the GF fryer and the tater tots and they went out of their way to make it work and get us taken care of. Will definitely be going back there next time we are in town.

Fun atmosphere with TV's everywhere. Great gf options: Meatballs, ribs, wings, tater tots, salads & burgers. I ordered the chimmichurri meatballs and they were delicious.
Super knowledgeable- all managers celiac certified -- wonderful options Good food and lots of TVs and must be 50 or 60 beers on draft (ok, only a couple ciders and some bottled GF options)

Clearly marked GF options. When the kitchen brought my salad with croutons, our waitress wisked it off the table, scolded the server and apologized profusely before getting me a new salad. Mistakes happen so I do appreciated the efforts to correct it quickly.
My family ate here with my super-sensitive Celiac husband on a recent trip to Hershey. The waitress was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The GF menu is quite extensive. He was overwhelmed with options, which never happens! He decided on the baked potato soup as an appetizer. He had the ribs and wings with a side of tater tots for dinner. He was in heaven! This was the first time since his diagnosis four years ago that he was able to enjoy typical "bar" faire in a restaurant. All of our food was delicious and we really enjoyed it. Most importantly, he did NOT get sick.

Very informed on gluten allergies. Had a question about the menu and a manager explained it right away.
Not safe. I ordered gf boneless wings. Was given fried wings and when I went to explain I ordered gf wings, the host looked at them and asked, they are not gluten free ?

This location is no longer Arooga's. It's a place called Greatful Goat Brewery. They didn't have anything on the menu marked gf, but were willing to accommodate which was very nice. Options are very limited bc the majority of the items are pizza, pasta, fried, etc. Also, they don't seem to deal with many gf customers so I was very nervous about the risk of of cross contamination. I order the roasted turkey caprese with no bun. I'm sorry to say but the turkey was dry and bland, the homemade mozzarella was just basic shredded cheese, and the arugula was yellow and wilted. I don't think this is the place for that type of food if you're looking for a beer, burger, and a pizza (and aren't celiac), this is your place. My family's food looked great.

They were very cautious. I had ordered a salad with blue cheese and they could not verify the blue cheese was gluten free so they left if off and explained.
