Asada Cantina + Kitchen

We eat at Asada pretty often and although I can’t remember if the items are marked GF on the menu or not, I have asked our server whether or not things are served with corn or flour tortillas just to make sure. I can say the chips and salsa are great and I never have a reaction to them and the little street tacos are good and their nachos. At one point they had a GF beer but they have since taken that off the menu.

— Excellent

The service was excellant and the server and manager did their best to accomodate me. However, the chips and crispy taco shells that someone else wrote about are cross-contaminated. They are fried in the same fryer as flour ingredients. The soft corn tortillas are heated on the same surface as flour. Several of their meats are marinated in beer, which contains gluten. I ended up eating the asada bowl with carnitas, which is not marinated in beer. It was delicious. I will probably not return because it was too difficult to wrap my mind around all the possible contaminants. Thank goodness the manager was knowledgeable and helpful.

First, I should say that I am not super sensitive, but definitely know when I've been glutened! But I was not glutened here! I got the crispy corn tacos with beans and rice... No issues. The staff was very knowledgeable and confirmed this would be fine for me and it was. The food was excellent.

Asada Cantina and Kitchen was excellent! I spoke with manager Chelsea who informed our server of my celiac and the two of them made sure the kitchen was clear on my allergy! Food was EXCELLENT! I had the Mexican Cobb Salad with chicken, corn, pico, guac, queso fresco, chipotle ranch. Can’t wait to go back!
