When I told the wait staff I was gluten-free, he said there were lots of options. He later asked how sensitive I was because the cheese sauce and all of the steak has soy sauce put in/on it before it is grilled. I had to clarify that I was celiac. So I had to ask for a steak without the sauce and it was definitely a let-down.

Ordered nothing but steak and carrots. Ended up getting a reaction. They seemed knowledgeable about celiac disease but in the end it seemed the kitchen fell short.

Everytime I come to Asadero they take care of me, I can’t order much but steak and veggies but I will take it!! I have never gotten sick and they always make sure there is no cross contamination. The steak I get is always delicious as well.

Most of the items on the menu are NOT gf. All the steak is, so if you want to eat steak, this is a fine place to go. But I was very disappointed when I tried to order several non-steak items and was told none were gf.

Since it's a Mexican steak cantina, it's nearly entirely gf and everything that is not gf is prepared separately or in a manner that does not promote cross contamination.

Best steaks in ballard and the value is too good to pass up. $30 14oz vacio or 10oz zabuton cuts served on a sizzling stone? With guacamole and a salsa selection? Yes please

Just be sure to avoid the red onions.

this place was very accommodating and although it’s not a gluten free facility - most of the items on the menu are already gluten free and they are very knowledgeable. I was comfortable eating here and had zero reaction.
