Killer banh mi—excellent, crusty gf roll. Bowls are hearty, sizeable portions. Chef/owner seems to also run a GF bakery in Palo Alto. Restaurant is dedicated gf, but our server was not very allergen-aware (he didn’t know what was in the flour), so I had to do my own research. They have GF beer from Buck Wild Brewing in Oakland. Good meal, no problems.

So good! I don’t usually care for “bowl” restaurants but this was really good — ate it two days in a row. And I got to have Vietnamese iced coffee, which was tasty and felt like a real treat!

Beware though: The Vietnamese hot chicken means BUSINESS. It was absolutely delicious, but it lit my mouth on fire. I LOVE spicy food and was so excited for it and again, it’s REALLY good but it’s also REALLY hot. I had to eat it a few bites at a time alternating with ice cubes, which I have never done before with any spicy food. It sounds super dramatic, but it happened twice! And the full force of the heat doesn’t hit you until you’ve already had a couple of bites!

The food here is INCREDIBLE! I had a bowl with rice, tofu, amazing sauce, broccoli, and great toppings. I also had a Thai iced boba tea and all of it was so delicious! 100% GF is also hard to beat!

I love Bahn Mi sandwiches. I miss them so much. Had to go here to try their gf Bahn Mi. It was not disappointing!! It was amazing!! I think that maybe they use the rolls from Mariposa Baking Company?
