Review of Asmara Restaurant

Asmara is an Eritrean restaurant. Their injera is made from teff (and contains NO wheat flour). This and all their Eritrean dishes are naturally gluten free. The only items on the menu that contain gluten are the samosas and the baklava, neither of which are made in-house. I suppose the beer would have gluten, but I didn't ask.

Note that the menu does not indicate that things are GF. However, I confirmed with the cook that no wheat flour is used in any of the sauces, which is what I expected having eaten Ethiopian food (which is the same as Eritrean food) elsewhere, including in Ethiopia.

I'd highly recommend this restaurant.
