Assateague Island Surf Shop

This little shop has gluten free wraps, and they don't use butter in their preparation. I had a BLT wrap. So delicious and I felt pretty good afterward. The wrap was VERY filling with bacon and avocado on it. They took precautions, and wrote my allergy right on the paper they wrapped around my BLT wrap. This is a place with shared preparation space, but I felt pretty good about how they took the care with indicating my food intolerance. They asked about food allergy and I typically say yes, and I use the word celiac, as people often understand that and take it more seriously.

This is a great shop and cafe close to Assateague Island. They have gluten-free options, including granola for the açaí bowls, wraps for their breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and a couple of bakery items. I had an iced coffee and bacon breakfast sandwich on a GF wrap, and took home a GF cookie. It was all delicious and came marked GF.
