I eat here all the time without getting sick. Primarily I get sushi, sesame chicken, and fried rice. Other foods might be subject to more cross contamination. For takeout everything is labelled and in separate containers.

Wonderful place with many gluten free options, including fried rice and general Tao’s chicken. It’s 45 minutes away from me and I will drive all the way there and back when I’m craving their food.

I am a very sensitive celiac and I don’t get food-poison/locked in bathroom level glutened here, but I always get some celiac symptoms that last a week or 2 after eating here. It’s probably cross contamination. The food is passable for suburban Chinese food especially as there are zero other gf options for this within a 10 miles radius. (They also have sushi and pad thai, the latter of which is not good). Have eaten here probably a dozen times since 2018 but symptoms are more noticeable this year. Grateful to have the option of DanDan in Wayne which is reliably gf as marked, not greasy, and delicious.

I bought take out here last night, for Valentine's Day. It was the 4th or fifth time I've eaten their food and sadly, the last. I was glutened there's no doubt because I react 2 hours and 45 minutes after I have gluten. And exactly 2 hours and 45 minutes after I started eating, I reacted. I spent hours in the bathroom quite ill. Those of you who react know what I mean. So I'm sad but I won't come here anymore. I can't take a chance of getting so sick. Before that I wrote how great it was, how wonderful my food was marked as it was last night. But somebody in their kitchen cross- contaminated it. That's my guess. So below you'll see my last review. That was much more positive. It is so busy, yet organized. My food was marked as gluten free. It was delicious. I am highly sensitive to gluten, and was fine. I look forward to eating here again!

I have eaten here a few different times over the last 2 years and have never gotten sick even with how my body reacts now to gluten. I have not had an issue. I just got the orange chicken and white rice this past weekend and was super happy.

This place is unfortunately not allergy safe. They’re very nice and there is a gluten free menu. The food is delicious. However, I’ve eaten here twice and both times I got violently ill. The first time I thought it was a fluke so I decided to try eating here again. Nope - got the same symptoms (itchy face/hives, vomiting and diarrhea, and lethargy for a week). I wouldn’t risk it!

Complete gluten free menu. Very knowledgeable about gluten allergies. I even had ginger dressing for the first time in 10 years. Amazing.

I don't understand all of the high ratings for Asuka. Do not eat here if you have Celiac. We ordered from the gluten free menu and told the waitress everything needed to be gluten free. We ordered two gluten free signature rolls (Geisha Roll and Crouching Tiger), both came up as containing gluten using Nima sensor. We also ordered two entrees (Singapore Noodles and Seafood Combination), both of these also came back positive on the Nima sensor. The only thing that came back as safe is the spicy tuna.

I’ve eaten here several times. I usually get a standard sushi roll and gf beef & brocolli entree. They really have a great gf understanding but I did get sick once. It could’ve been an accidental gf cross contact or something with raw seafood. I still go back and eat here tho and haven’t been sick since

Our absolutely favorite place for takeout. The sushi is delicious and very fresh. In addition, almost EVERY Chinese entree can be made GF! They have a separate GF menu and are very careful with preparation. My daughter thought she’d never be able to have Chinese food after her celiac diagnosis! We eat here a few times a month and have never had an issue.

Awesome! Staff was knowledgeable and helpful with menu choices. Ordered yellowfin, tuna, and salmon sushi with no problem. They brought out a separate bottle of gf soy sauce. Also got to enjoy Miso soup and Mochi for the first time! We will definitely go back!

We order takeout from here frequently. Look for the GF menu at their old website. We specify the need for GF in the order. The one time I got sick, my food was not marked GF. Now we always check for the G on my food! Good but not amazing food.

You need to check the old online menu or the physical menu at the location to spot the gf items. The general tso's and fried rice are so so good. Be sure to request gluten free by typing in if you're ordering online

Delicious food! I had the general tsos tofu and tofu Pad Thai which were both excellent. Out of our 8 items 1 got mixed up (they put in someone’s non gf dumplings instead of our edamame) but the line for pickup on a Friday night was super long so we decided to cut our losses. All GF items came out marked as such, so we still felt safe eating them. Generous portions that were worth the drive!

So happy to find out they had a GF menu here! My kids are both celiac and loved their first experience with Chinese food. We had edamame, pork fried rice, sesame chicken and chicken with mixed vegetables. The portions are huge and the food was all delicious. We ordered online and put gluten-free in the comments; they confirmed GF when I picked up.

I have talked to the owner. They make sure that GF foods are made separately. They have GF sushi. The counters are cleaned, gloves changed, and new mats are put down before making sushi. They even have GF soy sauce if you need.
The food is amazing and the portions are big. I always have enough leftovers for a second meal. About half of the regular menu is GF so there are a lot of choices between the hot dishes as well as their sushi.
8/2/20- Since Covid we have driven an hour to do pickup about 4 times ( once a month) . Ordering is easy on line and the food is as delicious as always.
12/23/19- another awesome meal. Crouching Tiger roll and crispy salt and pepper shrimp.
10/19/19- Amazing meal. Sashimi roll and orange chicken.
9/7/19- again an awesome dinner. They even had GF soy sauce.
Check them out.
Ate on 5/26/19. What a great meal. Spicy tuna roll and a philly roll were amazing. The orange chicken was so good! I asked questions and they even had GF next to my meal on the receipt. My food was also brought out separately.
Ate at Asuka on 12/30/18. What a great meal. I was nervous at first because I wasn’t sure that the waitress understood my concerns with cross contamination, but she let me know that clean pans were used and gloves were changed for my fried rice and no soy sauce was used. For my sushi roll, Three Musketeers, she let me know that the chef was cleaning the area and changing mats as well as gloves. It was the first sushi I’ve had in two years, and it was amazing! The pork fried rice was great! I would recommend this place, but I would also recommend that you ask questions as let them know how to keep you safe.

The ownerhas a family member with celiacs, so they fully understand the precautions needed.
I was thrilled to find out that I could still eat Chinese take out even though I get terribly ill from eating gluten. I almost always order their chicken and broccoli (brown sauce) and have shared it with other family members who can't believe how good it is. You can't tell you're eating gf. I eat here fairly often.

Been here many times. You may need to be a little specific, no crunch, but if Garry is there just let him know your needs and you'll be good.
So good! Tastes just like non gf Chinese. Double checked with us to make sure everything was correct and that they were gluten free. Super nice staff and super worth the 30min drive

Simply one of the BEST gf places around. Hawaiian fried rice is superb & my staple order. Sometimes I order other things too & I’ve never not liked what I’ve gotten. I have also never had a reaction (I’m celiac)

So knowledgeable and careful about GF. They really make you confident that they are doing their best by Celiac sufferers. The menu is huge, the staff is lovely, and The best part, the food is soooo good! I’d really been missing Chinese food, but no more!
A few specifics: sesame chicken, firecracker shrimp, the pad Thai is spicy but so good. They also have lots of gf sushi.
Love this place and go on the regular!

Stopped here on my way to Philly. Had General Tsos chicken and pork fried rice. The serving sizes are huge and everything tasted amazing. First time having Chinese food in years, definitely would recommend.

Seriously the BEST gluten free sushi and chinese food in the area. Have yet to try their vietnamese food but I bet it is the bomb also. I am an extremely picky eater when it comes to buying food that I am not preparing myself.... this is the one to choose. We have never gotten a celiac reaction, the restaurant is always SUPER clean.
This place is great, my fiancé and I have become regulars there. He is able to get sushi and his favorite, general tso’s chicken and has never had an issue of feeling sick. We go there all the time and can’t wait to go back!
Fantastic find! Chinese food is something I've greatly missed, and not easily replicated at home. Not only were there many options, but staff was well educated. Had the General Tso's and shrimp fried rice, and didn't get sick. Can't wait to get back and try out many of their other options!

Guys, this place is the type of place to make a gluten/dairy free person SCREAM for joy. Multi page gluten free menu, lunch and dinner specials with fried rice and soup.. sushi, Chinese food, appetizers. It’s amazing. I go at least once a week. For someone who has sought out gluten free Chinese food/takeout for years.. I am in love with Asuka. They also have great fried foods that are gluten free.. sesame chicken, general tso, my favorite.. walnut shrimp. Fried and topped with candied walnuts and a creamy dairy free sauce. Go there :)
Love, love, love this place. So many gluten free options. My daughter and I are celiac and have never had a bad reaction. You should definitely try this place. Very friendly staff. They never seem to be bothered by my gf requests. Great food!!
I love this restaurant. They have a wonderful gluten free menu. Everything is so good. Managers and staff are very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
The only Chinese food we can and will trust to eat at in philadelphia area. Amazing variety and taste

The food is delicious. It is 100% gluten free! A must try!

GF Menu and soy sauce available upon request. The food is delicious and extra care is given for gf clientele. We were told there is a separate prep area/fryer for gf items. I was shocked when my daughters orange chicken came out fried and crispy. I inquired to double check that it was gf and was told they coat fried items in potato starch. Genius point! My daughter was over the moon excited that she could have something fried like she remembered before going GF.
I have celiac disease. I got the general tso's on my bday and was mildly terrified because it is fried. But no stomach ache and no after effects. I've gotten other items ever since and it's becoming a routine.
Very friendly and gf knowledgeable staff. The food is excellent. This is my family's favorite restaurant!!
Yes
they were very knowledgeable about gluten. knew which menu items were safe, could be modified, and could not. we called 3 times before ordering, and every person was educated on gluten free.
Extensive menu. Initially I was nervous about cross contamination. I had soup, sushi and Kung Pao Chicken. The food was savory and I wanted more. The service was excellent and the server was knowledgeable about GF and cross contamination. The server didn't seem annoyed by my GF menu questioning and quizzing. Going back tomorrow.

Love this place - great food and very understanding about the interrogations we often put our servers through to be sure we don't get glutened. GF menu and willing to make alterations to things that are not on it, and will explain the differences as well as offering alternatives to make it better with the alterations.
