Review of Aszú Étterem

When you have food allergies traveling anywhere can be stressful,... traveling internationally can be NEXT LEVEL stress. A local guide recommended this restaurant to us, and we were so happy we went back the next night again for dinner! Charlie was our server and so great and accommodating. My husband is not just celiac, but also has egg allergy… We explained this all to Charlie, while he patiently listened, nodded and took notes. He told us he’d make sure the kitchen took care of everything, and they did just that! We asked about bread he said that normally they do have a gluten and egg free bread they just hadn’t gotten it from the baker that day, no worries though because we had plenty to eat! The goulash soup was/is excellent and gluten-free… I had the lamb shank which was heaven, with roasted potatoes and grilled peppers. My husband had the filet with mustard mashed potatoes and grilled endive. He gobbled it down and then found himself happy and healthy the next morning... Translation no accidental gluten-ing from this place! Loved it and wish it wasn’t so far away!
