We made a reservation here because there were many food items marked on the menu as “gluten free.” When we got the menu and talked to our server, she said the tortilla chips are gluten free and fried in canola oil. I asked if any gluten items go in the fryer and she seemed surprised by this question. She said, “yes, we only have one fryer.” So, I had to pay for a stack of corn tortillas to eat salsa, guacamole. I wouldn’t eat the chips. I ordered the skinny margarita and asked her to double check on the ingredients for me, but she brought me the drink and never said another word about it. I order two beef tacos on corn tortillas and didn’t get sick but I didn’t feel confident in their knowledge about celiac disease.
