We’ve been going there quite frequently due to the fact that we were told by the owner on two separate trips to verify they had safe practices & that they take celiac seriously since her daughter has celiac disease. She told us that they have a dedicated fryer & that the potatoes have no wheat flour on them. However we went last month our server was also the manager. She asked us about any allergies to which we replied that one of us has celiac disease so no heart or gluten items. We ordered the same item as our previous visits- she said “oh the potatoes are not gf because of the fryer” we said what? a bit shocked & said are you sure? The owner told us twice that the fryer is dedicated & safe & none of our previous servers have told us this -when did it change?

She went back & spoke to the cook, then called the owner (the owner denies ever saying that & added that her daughter eats there all the time with no issues so we should be fine) The manager explained that apparently over the pandemic they had dedicated fryer but that after restaurants opened up again it hasn’t been that way.

We told the manager- we appreciated her honesty and her help in getting to the truth. She was apologetic & said she doesn’t understand how that could happen & certainly would want anyone to get sick so of course she would be honest. We are upset knowing that the manger purposefully misled us & lied directly to us twice & that the previous servers didn’t notify us either. She removed the drinks from our bill & apologized again.

I will add for those who don’t have celiac disease the food was tasty on our previous visits.
