Delicious Japanese restaurant in the heart of Mission Bay. Although the kitchen is not gluten free they have really helpful staff that were very knowledgeable in what food the kitchen could safely prepare for coeliacs. They reassured us that they would tell the kitchen so the chefs were aware of dietary requirements and would prepare our food in a seperate area. Lovely meal and a great night out. Despite this having only a couple of reviews dozens of coeliac customers have recommended it on the ‘Coeliac Disease NZ’ Facebook Group.

Great experience with my 4 yr old coeliac girl. She’s fussy at the best of times and coeliac is new to her. The chef knew all about coeliac safe cooking. They don’t have gluten free on menu but chef told us what they could make gluten free and how they had separate fryer etc. She had a coeliac bento box with gluten free karaage chicken, plain rice, extra sushi (instead of the dumplings) and edamame beans. Brought out gluten free soy sauce for her. Highly recommend for coeliac kids (and adults!)
