We had a great experience here in Destin. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, took our celiac orders first, delivered our food first and everything was clearly marked on their separate GF menu. The food was pricey but we still really enjoyed it.

Delicious Gluten Free food! Full separate Gluten Free Menu. Our server Rory was great and very knowledgeable. We had the GF Smoked Tuna Dip with Cucumbers (the chips were fried with other food so we skipped those). Then had the GF Grilled Snapper Sandwich with coleslaw and green beans. It was all excellent! Highly recommend.

Popped in here for lunch, they did have a separate GF menu which was very nice. Waitress was very sweet but had no idea what gluten was and tried to offer hush puppies. My husband and I both ordered sandwiches (mine being gf) and they came out on the exact same bun… waitress assured me she ordered it gf and offered to bring a manager out. Manager confirmed it was in fact a normal bun and swapped out my meal for one with a gf bun! Minus the mixup, food and selection were decent!

Separate menu. Not hugely impressed for as expensive as it is. My GF grilled shrimp Cobb salad showed up with a roll on it. My husbands gf amberjack sandwich was good and on a gf roll despite the website saying it would be served without bread.

Great seafood. Staff was knowledgeable about gluten free menu. Lots of choices for seafood and non seafood menu items. The Mahi Mahi Destin with twice baked potato was delicious. Beautiful view of the gulf.

Really nice variety for those of us limited to gfree. Nothing worse than traveling and worrying that you'll be sick after. I had no concerns dining here! This place knows how to cater to patrons with food allergies. Very enjoyable meal!

Was excited to try this place based on reviews. Got a chicken sandwich with a twice baked potato and green beans. All listed on the gluten free menu. I told the waiter I have Celiac disease. He didn’t respond at all which concerned me. Meal arrived. I took 2 bites of the potato and then a bite of the green beans and my head started to feel funny which is my first sign gluten is present. Didn’t eat any more of those 2 things, ate the chicken sandwich and didn’t have any more reaction. Confirmed later on that I consumed gluten with more symptoms.

THIS. PLACE. IS. THE. BEST. Where do i even start? I am not the biggest seafood person, but there were a lot of gf sea food options. I got a delicious chicken/bacon sandwich. The bread was phenomenal (it was gluten free) and i also got an AMAZING twice backed potato!!!!! Overall experience was great, we even went twice on vacation. Servers were so kind and understanding. IT IS AWESOME!!

AMAZING FOOD!!!!! I had the Amberjack blackened, which was delightful but a little too spicy for me, with the Cole slaw and twice baked potato. Simply amazing food. We had a pretty large party and everyone enjoyed their meal. Great food with a view!!!

Loved this place. Great atmosphere and direct access to the beach. I’ve had the shrimp, scallions and the tuna dip which were all good. The crackers with the tuna dip are not gluten free but the cucumber substitute was so delicious especially after a hot day on the beach.

Food was excellent, service was fantastic the waiter even thought the crackers for the tuna dip were GF he made double checked to find that there weren’t and did not bring them. The smoke Tuna Dip was to die for I could have made a meal out of it alone.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Destin! They have a good selection of gluten free food and the gluten free bun is delicious!

I was charged for a meal double the price because I couldn’t eat the bread, so it wasn’t considered a “sandwich”. That’s was enough to tick me off considering I can’t eat the bread, sooo I’d say I’ll never eat there again. The service was terrible and the food was subpar.

We went here for a late lunch and had barely any wait but there is a nice gift shop here to browse in. Gluten free items were marked on the menu. My wheat allergic son was able to eat the seafood nachos. I was skeptical about how they would taste, but they were really good and everyone at our table enjoyed them. The server was able to help my son choose a safe gluten free meal off the kid menu and was confident in how foods were prepared. There were more safe side items than I usually see a restaurants. Also, there were lots of gluten choices on the menu. The dining area overlooks the water and is shaded and nice.

Fantastic restaurant on the beach for gluten free options. They have a gluten free menu and were very accommodating with my dairy allergy too. I had the grilled amberjack sandwich with coleslaw and a side salad. The sandwich was on an Udi's bun. Very fast service even though they were very busy.

Be prepared to wait. We waited an hour and a half but we did have a large party. We went with our soccer team. The waitress was very knowledgeable about gluten free. I ordered the seafood nachos and raw oysters (no crackers). It was all delicious. They had a lot of other options to choose from but those nachos were a meal in itself. I hope to get back and try some of the other options again sometime.

Service was great, knowledgeable about the gluten free items. We ordered the peel shrimp appetizer and the grilled amberjack sandwich on a gluten free bun. It came with a side of coleslaw and twice baked potato. The top shelf margaritas were fantastic as well. Everything was so delicious!!! Going back for lunch later this week before we head back home to Oregon.

The wait was very long, but the process was very easy. We stood out back waiting for our name to be called, and even saw dolphins! Food was fine, not amazing but not terrible.

Good salads and despite being on the gf menu they put a giant roll on it...wth?

They had a great gluten free menu, and the server was very attentive. I had shrimp, scallops, twice baked potato and green bean casserole. Everything was delicious!!! I highly recommend and would return here again.

They have a separate GF menu with plenty of choices if you’re in the mood for seafood. I had their gulf shrimp salad with a honey mustard/horseradish dressing which was delicious. You can order a hamburger or sandwich but you have to order it bunless. If they start to offer GF buns then this place will be awesome!

The had a pretty good Gluten free selection and the seafood nachos were really good! You just can't have the queso because it is not Gluten free.

Ordered the shrimp and spinach salad off the GF menu. When they brought the salad it had a non GF roll on it.

GF menu with lots of options!

We love Back Porch, but this was our first visit since my husband was diagnosed with Celiac. The waiter didn't know what gluten was and said that "he thought the grill was hot enough to burn off any wheat." Fortunately we had grilled fish and a baked potato and he didn't get sick.

I'm not sure when the review below was written for the Back Porch, but we were just there as a family (6/4/2015) and they had designated gf menus that had everything from appetizers to kids menu options. Awesome experience for a celiac family in a town that isn't too friendly for us.
