Banana Leaf Restaurant

I went to Banana Leaf after seeing all the excellent reviews on here. The buffet had a few options but did not offer bottomless lassi like their website said. I asked the waitress and she said that the grand dinner buffet was actually only on Saturdays (it was a Friday), contradicting their website. The waitress was nice, she brought me my own gluten free pancake and dessert (tasted like a doughnut hole) since I couldn't eat the available bread and dessert. However, she brought me the doughnut hole on the same plate as my friends' gluten-containing bread (stacked on top of the bread) and my heart sunk; I looked at the two empty plates I had eaten and knew that CC is not actually something they consider, most likely. It felt like that scene in Breaking Bad with Walt and Lydia and the stevia. Halfway through the meal the waitress brought us three green bananas as some sort of dessert or snack. My banana was okay (though I hate bananas) but my two friends' bananas were so underripe and astringent, it was like eating sand. And now, three days later, I'm still feeling the effects of being glutened. I won't be going back.

The staff was very helpful and there were many gluten free options. Excellent service and excellent food! The buffet was fantastic.

not your mainstream variety of indian food, I was unfamiliar with most of the dishes. lots of lentil and chickpea dishes.

I absolutely love this restaurant. Almost every food option here is gluten free, and everything is vegetarian/vegan friendly. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and knowledge about cross contamination. Most of the time, I even feel safe eating from the buffet. The food is delicious, and in all the times I have gone there, I have never gotten sick.

Most of the food is gluten free. Absolutely delicious. The buffet is different than most. Start with appetizers brought to table, help-yourself lassis and then several gf options to choose from.

Lots of gluten free option along with vegan. All items are a minimum of vegetarian ...very tasty :)

Amazing food and service. All vegetarian/vegan in addition to a huge GF selection. The staff were so helpful and friendly, even giving us more of the buffet food to take home for free. Wish I lived in Columbus for this Indian food ❤

There are so many gluten free options and they are extremely conscious and knowledgable about gluten sensitives and intolerances. Also just generally very friendly and they make delicious food. I got the dosai and was in love with the glutenfree crepe. Will definitely go back again!!
